But he probably used RET because END would be boring.

Maybe he should have done PUSH $0000 / RET of the world ^_^ it still would be a return, but I can assure you it would be the end of the WORLD.8xp program in your RAM.  ;)
I ran it from archive using my favorite shell. :P

That looks great :D. Is it possible I give you some areas of improvement as advice?  I hope I don't sound rude, I just love giving back criticism on pixel art, my stronger area ;)

- the sword's blade looks like it is a bit cylindrical -- one way to erase this illusion is by creating vertical marks on it, such as one to split the blade in two symmetrical halves -- but you can expand on this further by adding snakes, triangles or whatever to suit taste ;)

- the crack in the rock looks okay -- but the rock would look a bit better with some more colors (maybe 2 lighter shades and 2 darker shades to create some illusion of light collision) and some outlining -- not just on the outside, but on the center part as well, it creates the illusion that the rock looks rugged and makes the sword in the pose of jutting out look more impressive

- I actually think while the landscape isn't perfect, the clouds looks quite great actually, and the sand dunes are believable -- you did well with that part ;)

- while the castle looks great on its own, it doesn't really fit into the landscape much -- not because of shape or color, but the fact that it looks completely 2 dimensional, whereas the surrounding landscape provides some illusion of depth -- I would suggest either skewing it a bit to show the front and a side wall, or just skew it a little and make the tower and pointy things at the top have a 3D look (not like a shape imported from PowerPoint -- but rather just making the turret look a bit more cylindrical and the pointy things more rectangular-prism like)

;) though great work -- sorry if I sound rude again, its not intended to be.

It's kinda nice so far. If edited a bit it could even be used for a title screen. maybe a calc version eventually?

I've been watching and reading a lot of Death Note recently, and I realized how much I love L, with his awesome intelligence and all his quirks, so he's my avatar now.

Spoiler For Projects:

My projects haven't been worked on in a while, so they're all on hiatus for the time being. I do hope to eventually return to them in some form or another...

Spoiler For Pokemon TI:
Axe port of Pokemon Red/Blue to the 83+/84+ family. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia:
My big personal project, an original RPG about dimensional travel and a few heroes tasked with saving the world.
Coding-wise, on hold, but I am re-working the story.

Spoiler For Finale's Super Insane Tunnel Pack of Doom:
I will be combining Blur and Collision Course into a single gamepack. On hold.

Spoiler For Nostalgia Origins: Sky's Story:
Prequel to Nostalgia. On hold, especially while the story is re-worked.

Nice

By the way my favorite avatar right now is Mikehill2003's. However watching it closely for a while kinda makes me feel weird because of the spinning.

It was interesting to watch. I would put it in a spoiler if I was you with a warning so people who want to avoid it can. I didn't mean to imply that you needed to take it off
