I wonder how hard it would be to add support for small HTML5 video clips as avatars. It is possible to hide the playback controls and make them play and loop automatically, so that they behave just like animated GIFs, but with a much smaller file size. Of course, sound should then be disabled.

Dang, I'll fix that now. Is there any way to replace the uploaded picture or delete it? Cause http://img.ourl.ca/ always creates another one and I feel guilty taking up space for screenshots I don't need.

Well my avatar is a space dwarf named Kardran Geregson.
I originally created it for a contest on a forum for a game project by Notch that died a few months ago.
I somehow won that contest and the virtual 3 month subscription prize for the game, but the said game will never get published, and the forum got flooded by bots when it got deserted.

Anyway, I actually recorded a audio series in french, with a few friends, featuring the grumpy dwarf, but we only published about 30 minutes of content.
Oh and it got adapted in book format afterwards.
And then it died altogether.

but meh. I still know the people I've been working with to release the said content, so I might get back to it later. who knows. It really was a fun project to work on, despite the occasional fights over plot and scientific accuracy. I'd really like to finish that project actually.

So yeah. Enjoy the space dwarf.

Yeah I was wondering where it came from lol. Seeing the pixels, I thought it was from a Playstation 1 game or something at first. It's pretty nice, though. Too bad the project died. D:

I like it. If it wasn't for the diagonal lines it would actually remind me of SNES stuff :D
