As we were saying on IRC, they say there is at most 6 links between everyone and Kevin Bacon. The Bacon number therefore counts the number of such links between such a person and Kevin Bacon. Well, check it out on Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_Bacon#Bacon_numbers) for a better explanation.
If you ever appeared on a TV show or you've been an extra in a movie, you must have a Bacon number. If so, post it here! If you don't know it, post the celeb you were with or the movie you were in and we'll attempt to calculate it. Or you can also calculate it here (http://oracleofbacon.org/) by typing the name of the celeb and adding one to his/her Bacon number. Otherwise, your bacon number is undefined. Sad for you, I guess...
There's also an extension for research papers co-authors called the Erdős number (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erd%C5%91s_number), so if you ever co-written a paper, you can post it here too. And if you have both numbers defined, you can even add them! Very few people have both numbers.
So what's your Bacon number? Mine is 4 as I appeared in the crowd in a TV quiz with Patrice L'Écuyer who have appeared in L'héritage (1987) with Yves Desgagnés who was in Louis 19, le roi des ondes (1994) with James Rae who's been in Criminal Law (1988) with Kevin Bacon who have by definition a Bacon number of 0.
And DJ Omnimaga possibly have a Bacon number of at most 5 as he participated in a crowd in a few videoclips of Dance Laury Dance with me.

I met Corbin Bleu at a concert at Wisconsin State Fair, on August 5th, 2008. Lucky me, I guess.
Corbin Bleu starred in "Beyond All Boundaries" with Kevin Bacon.
Me and willrandship have the lowest Bacon numbers out of pretty much everybody on Omnimaga. 8)

My Bacon number may be 3.
I was on the filming of L'Arnacoeur with Romain Duris and he has a Bacon number of two according to your link. They asked for extras so we came with some friends, but for some reason we never saw ourself in the movie because the camera is very close to the actors and the background is only blur so we could have been there or not that would have changed nothing :P
It was quite fun anyway. The director said "ok, last one", then "ok, another last one" :P

TuriqWalrus, I'm combining the Bacon number with "Six Degrees of Separation", as I don't believe most people here have been in any movies or TV shows with anybody. :P

Mine is undefined. Unless DJ Omnimaga is a celebrity then I know him (not IRL) and my number is 6. :P
I guess if we go with this everyone here would have a Bacon number of 3 because they know a forum member with a Bacon number of 2. I guess we'll only count IRL meetings with people who have Bacon numbers (such as JWinslow meeting Corbin Bleu, but could be anyone) if you never appeared in a TV show or movie.

So I think I've also got a Bacon number of 2. I was an extra in the movie Tower Heist, along with some of my Boy Scout troop. (Although you'd barely see us in the shot, since we're right on the edge.) And Casey Affleck, one of the lead actors for the movie, has a Bacon number of 1, according to the oracle.

Well, I think you won (as you actually were in a movie, so you follow the real definition of the Bacon number, the two other with a Bacon number of 2 only follow the extended definition). Now to find someone who were with Kevin Bacon. Or Kevin Bacon himself.

Really? Shame. That'd have given all of us a 1, going by the extended definition xD
In any case, if we are going by extended, I'd have a different link as well, through Bill Nye, who has a Bacon number of 2.
