Title: Where Did Your Name Come From?

Ok, so for a while now I've been curious about peoples names. I'm not talking about your real name, I'm talking about your name on here (like mine is "Meishe91"). No one is forced to share or anything, I just thought it would be cool to see how some people came up with their names, developed them, changed them, or got given them. Who knows. Everyone's may be different. Could be a favorite thing, an interesting story, a "I have no idea how I got this name, actually..." thing, or anything else.

I shall start:
So it all started over 6 years ago or so, I think. I'm not entirely sure how long. But I had just started to get back into RuneScape and I couldn't think of a name. One of my friends had the name of He_is_me0 (I believe there was a "0" at the end anyways, not relevant though :P) so I kind of just reversed it to be Me_is_he (which is still my RuneScape name still, not on as much now though :(). This was my tag for a lot of things for a quite awhile until one day I stumbled upon a site (I don't remember which) that didn't let me use underscores (the "_") so it got shortened to Meishe. Then I got to another site that made me have numbers and letters, for what ever reason, so I just added the 91 since '91 is the year I was born in. So now I have the tag Meishe91. Yup, not that interesting of a story but ya know, it works :P

Initially I used either Kevin or Kevin9999 on forums (the later when Kevin was already taken. I put the 9999 since I like RPGs a lot and 9999 is a number that appears a lot in them).

Eventually I switched to xlibman, because I was a big xLIB fan (despite not having coded a lot after the app came out)

Later I switched to DJ Omnimaga after quitting programming for a while and getting into music again (including doing some mixes)

Omnimaga means Omni+Magic (which was changed to a made-up word "maga") and the name dates back on September 1st 2001.

Long before those nicks, I went under the name Metranor on Battle.net (way back in 2000-01). It was the name of the final boss of my two game comic books that plays like AD&D books.

Mine was from high school. I made up this mathematical operation called "Quiginentials" which much later I discovered already existed called a Tetration (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tetration). But I liked the way the name sounded so it kinda stuck with me and evolved to Quigibo.

Until you told me that on chat several months ago, I always thought Quigibo was a Pokémon. Darn I can be so Pokémon-illiterate sometimes x.x

So basically you thought of the idea of ⁿx (which basically means that ³x is equal to x^{x^x}; ⁴2=2^{2^2²}=2^2⁴=2¹⁶=65 536) by yourself without knowing it existed? Sweet :)

It's an attempt to establish a gender-nonconformative alias, and influence fluid relationships that are independent of male-male territoriality and sexual rivalry. "Zera" doesn't sound at all masculine. It's a figurative manner of self-castration to avoid eliciting primal jealousy / antagonism from other males.

... yes - that sort of thing happens online. :P

I was creating a game with my cousin, like 5 years ago. Mapar is Matthias+Parsifal (our first names). The 007 is not from Bond, it's from the Traxis Tower room 7, where the High Council of Decision holds its meetings in the imaginary world involved in the game. :P

Wow, one time I was playing around the idea of studying X^X, then X^X^X behaviour of the function. It grows even faster than exponentials. xD I did not know it had name.
In school sometimes I get ahead of class because I start to study by myself math that I don't know.

I noted how neutral in gender the name is, the first time I saw you in forums. :P Even with my abbreviated form of the nickname (Gal or Gala), my gender was confused. (so I use it in games that some types of character are female only)

Raylin is actually Raylin Tazukoma if you extend it.
Raylin Tazukoma is the first character I ever put into a story.

Raylin is a combination of my name + the character's fighting style, Shaolin.
Tazukoma mutated from Tachikoma, as in the machines in Ghost in the Shell.

An extra "E"?
My name was originally Component. Stupid, but whatever. I put this into my DS when I first got one, and this was the first time I ever had a screen name. Later, I was "knighted" among my friends at school for tremendous video game achievement, a special thing we do to honor the best of our players. Unfortunately, Sir Component does not fit into a DS, so I shortened it to SirCompnt. It wasn't long before I saw the alternative, SirCmpwn, and changed it for obvious reasons.

Back in fourth grade when I started runescape, (I stopped in 6th), I really liked penguins. So I felt it was appropriate to make my name thepenguin. But that name was already taken. So I took my favorite number, which is also my kindergarten bus number, 77 and stuck it on the end.

The 77 was probably for the better as the only website it's been taken on was youtube where I just used thepengwn77.

I've never been good at coming up with names, so my usernames are always based on my real name, usually first + last initial (like on this forum).

I would have done the same thing with my nick when I first came to EfNet last summer, but I thought of another idea with the username ‘mha’ that Magnus on ticalc.org always seemed to use. I figured that might have been first letter of first name + first two letters of last name, so I tried the same thing with my name and got ‘tev’, which I kind of liked, so I ended up sticking with that.

Originally, my nickname was just "Tsukasa", however there was another person on IRC who kept using it so I added "ZX" to the end. The "ZX" doesn't stand for anything (although one could say it means "Zero eXpectations" ;P). As for "Tsukasa", the canon origin is from the Tsukasa of Tokyo Japanese Steak, Seafood, and Sushi Bar in Illinois.

As for my other IRC nicks "SubaruZX" and the rarely used "JenosaZX", the former comes from the Japanese name for the Pleiades/Maia Nebula and the latter comes from Jenosa Arma, the name of the female bounty hunter in Scurge: Hive (an excellent game, despite being a Metroid clone/rip-off).

So no, you silly people, my nicks don't come from .hack//sign or automobile manufacturers :P

11th grade English class, messing around with the topic "Iambic pentameter."

I suck as making up nicks, so I gave it some real thought. Some online identity that I would be consistent in throughout my time here. So... here you have it. Not that long. Except with how long I've actually *used* the name.

On IRC, I've used "Xethyl" as an alternate nick in case of disconnects and nasty things like that. That was derived off the pack of a chewing gum, where it advertised "Now, with Xylitol!"

my name is 100% random. quasi of course means 'sort of', and phthalo is short for phthalocyanine blue or green dye. i thought it sounded cool

Well, originally I was called ZagorNBK. Zagor was a mage in a fantasy book I once read and I thought it sounded cool, since I was fully into RPGs and that sort of thing at that time. Since it was already used in many places (yes, including Runsescape :P), I added NBK to the end, short of Naheulbeuk, which is an humoristic fantasy adventure in MP3, which I'm really fond of.

Gradually however, it became to seem more and more geeky and "WoW fanatic", so I decided to change it. So one day, I stumbled upon... a bottle of perfume (!) with Silver Shadow written on it! I thought "Wow! What a stupid name for perfume. Couldn't it be used elsewhere instead?". And then I realized that it would sound cool as a nickname, still RPG-sounding, but not as hardcore. ;D And I'm now known as Silver Shadow ever since.

I did have some recent thoughts about an alternative, non-RPG nickname which I'll be able to use in appropriate places. Maybe "Alek"?

Honestly, I can't remember how I got the Finale part of my name, cause I can up with a long time ago, before I even knew there was a massive online TI community.

I do remember that my name used to be Finale83, cause I only had an 83+ at the time, but after I got my 84+ SE, I decided to change it to FinaleTI.

I find it interesting that half of the names here came from runescape :) Mine did too aswell. When I was in middle school, I got into runescape and I really like rc cars, and had a few until they became a bit to expensive :-\ ( and the fact I blew a motor up on one). Well needless to say, rcfreak was taken on runescape, so i just added the "0" after it cause i wanted the name, and its kinda taken to everything. I pretty much use this nick for just about everything. This includes WoW, and for those of you who know me enough on IRC i play a bit too much WoW sometimes, but since WoW doesnt allow numbers in names, its back to rcfreak for my main character, and if you wanna look at rc, and the other characters, the link in my signature shows them all. The stats might be a bit off but w/e.

My name is just an abbreviation for "The Legend of Zelda" (because I am a huge fan of the series, and I couldn't think of anything else :P). I added 128 at the end because it just seemed to fit.

Builderboy2005 was my first email address (because at that time i was a huge fan of building with Legos) and all of my internet names have been a derivative ever since :D

Luther (my alter ego) was the nickname given to me by my 5th grade teacher after he said I reminded him of Lex Luther for some reason :P

I used to play Legos when I was a kid. I hope to play a electronic version because I would need lots of Legos to start to have fun. I only got 2 boxes of the big Legos and I want bigger constructions.

Graph+Mastur. The graph is obvious. It's to always remind me of my roots as a TI Programmer. Mastur comes from master, as I am the best! jk, but seriously, I thought I was pretty good at the time. So anyway, the reason I changed the e to a u is a secret. ;-)

When I saw your nick, I though it would be from you enjoying to graph in the calculators especially some functions that bring beautiful patterns.

For some reasons, the first few times I saw your nick I always misread it as graphmastuf x.x. I think it might be because on TI-Freakware there used to be a member that went under the nickname Mathstuf

That reminds me, I should start going at the local team games again (not MLB but whatever). Only issue is that home games are always on my work days and I am too tired to do the 1.5 hours bus ride x.x (2 hours to come back). For hot dogs it's annoying though because the place where you put your ketchup and stuff in your hot dog is very small and there's always some old dude who takes about 15 minutes to do it despite many people waiting, and you miss almost an entire inning x.x

One of the best parts about having a ball park frank though is that no matter how small the area for the condiments is you still just stack as much as you can without it all falling off ;)

True.

Btw altough I like baseball, keep in mind my #1 sport would be hockey, though :P (altough baseball would probably be closer if the Montreal Expos did not become the Washington Nationals)

Mine came from an episode of Billy and Mandy, where Aris gives them the Apple of Chaos and lets them mess around with it. Billy and the talking burrito kept calling it a 'Magic Banana' and I just found that really amusing. Plus, as it turns out, not many people use the name 'Magic Banana' as usernames, so it works out fine for me.

my name, jsj795, comes a looooooonngggg way for me.
I've been using it since like 3rd grade (which means it's been almost 10 years), starting from Battlenet account I believe. :P
jsj stands for my initial in korean name. In Korea, you say last name first, and then first name.
So my last name is Jung, and first name is Seong Jun...
hence, jsj ^^
795 is pretty much random, except on the numpad, it's easy to type. having index finger on 7, 4th finger on 9,and middle finger on 5, it's just right there :)
when sometimes the name needs to be longer than 6 characters, I use jsj7985 :D
nowadays, I'm trying to change my nickname to Kiril. (Kiril is the name of the main character in TLM)

Mine is pretty simple. My first name is Zachary, so the first letter is Z. I'm pretty involved in an active band (in school) and I play the trumpet. = ztrumpet :D

Well, my name has a dark and mysterious past......well, ok, not really :P

When I was 6, I signed up for a yahoo account. I saw this textbox that said username and i thought "hmm, my name doesn't fit! It's probably broken..." so I shortened it to the allowable amount.

The hilarious thing is that the only times I ever have problems with it is when I have already signed up for the site. If I need a new account, I make it willrandship1.

@tsukasaZX I always thought your name referred to the zx spectrum ::)

Edit: broken Smiley. Why doesn't XD do anything??????? WHY???????

actually thats not the full story:
back in the days of me deciding to try RuneScape I needed a Username. I snooped around and found mi (snake) and tatsu (dragon) and thought they sounded cool so I wanted my name to be mi or tatsu, I decided to combine them and stuck an o in the middle to get miotatsu. It is pronounced me oh tah tsu btw. I figured it would be pretty nice since it is original and sounds cool.
later on I joined the ITS community, and later still InvisibleMan decided to start learning Japanese. He decided to translate my name and ended up getting "Erected Waterway".
The End. :P

I had a different name originally, because it was the username I used for everything -- Google, Yahoo, Wikipedia, ticalc, Bigstring, WikiAnswers, etc. (I even used the same password :-\ not very safe, I guess :D). Earlier this year I decided to separate my online identities entirely (so I would appreciate it if those of you who know my original name wouldn't mention it here), and I started asking the admins of all the TI-related sites to change my display name (thanks DJ btw).

Deep Thought is the name of the supercomputer in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, as many of you know. I thought it'd be an easily remembered name, and sounds perfect as a nickname for these sites. The only problem now is that when I search for my nickname in Google, I don't appear at the top anymore (the words are very common, apparently :))

On a related topic, I originally called my calculator (a TI-83 Plus) Graphitti (it actually came from the words Graph It, TI x.x). This was the most recent in a series of pessimistic names for various possessions (I called my trebuchet I made in middle school Backfire (it actually sounds nice), my thumb drive Black Hole (lots of stuff fall in, nothing comes out), my SD card Bottomless Pit (same thing), and so on). I changed its name to Graphite (or Graph Ite for sites that require separate first and last names), which sounds better.

And yeah I remmeber nitacku did that with his password. Not very safe indeed. He was even staff when he did, so anybody could have sneaked in and deleted shit x.x

Btw does Graphitti refers to the competition TI did back in 2005? People had to make a TI-84+SE faceplate and could win $1000 if they won, or something like that. If I remember, the contest was flawed, too. x.x

There is actually quite a bit to the reason for Xeda112358, but nobody knows all of them except for myself. I guess if all of my friends got together and shared all that I have told them, they would know the whole story, but here is a chunk of it. The easy part is the 112358 part it is the first part of the Fibonacci sequence. I have always played around with numbers and patterns and it just so happens that when I was six, I came up with a number series where you add the last two numbers you have to get the next (that was the terminology I used at that age). When I was ten, I was given a math quiz to see what my level was in math and the very last question was to complete the pattern: 1,1,2,3,5,8,__,__. I got pretty excited and asked the teachers where it came from and that is where I learned that it had a name. Now, as for the Xeda part... I don't exactly conform to some gender rules (to put it one way) and I wanted a name that both sounded nice and was less masculine. Xeda (the x is pronounced as a "z" as in xylophone) sounded right and so I went with that. In other places that need a last name, I use Xeda Elnara mostly because I love the letter "r" and because it rolls off the tongue. I was told it sounded elven and I like that (I have been told that I look slightly elvish).

So, um, yeah. If you have any questions/comments/concerns... drop off some peanuts and I will be happy to respond :D (just kidding about the peanuts :D)

Hm, I think I didn't explained mine...

So, as far as I can tell, juju2143 was my first username, long ago when I signed up for some kids' section of some website.

So juju is a diminutive of my real name, Julien. Seems my brother Justin has the exact same diminutive, so he's somewhat part of the reason. And no, it's not related to Tak and the Power of Juju. Then, obviously, I had to put some numbers after the name, so I opted for 1234, but was too boring, so I inverted the numbers 2 by 2. And no, it's not related to Battlefield 2142.

I have an alternative nickname, which is Sonikku, because I love Sonic the Hedgehog and japanese things. Sonikku is the japanese translitteration of his Japanese name. I use it where juju makes everyone think I'm a girl, because in French, Juju is a common girl nickname. I sometimes prefix a DJ to it because I like doing music.

Also worth mentioning my website, julosoft.net, comes from my other diminutive, Jul, and the suffix -osoft, like Microsoft and the such.

When you joined Cemetech and TIBD I thought it was him but then I saw references to your alt nickname here.

I used to refer myself as Kevin Ouellet whenever I made a game before, but due to my extremly bad reputation in the community back in 2006-08, I eventually started refering myself as DJ Omnimaga. However, the people that disliked me eventually moved on, then I started using Kevin Ouellet again in my readmes from time to time.

The reason why I was hated is because Omnimaga rules disallowed trolling and I often overeacted to negative stuff.

Mine is pretty odd. In 6th grade I decided to start a project (I was bored) in which I would write fake newspaper columns about whatever. I never really did anything with the idea (except use it as a base for a project I did for my gifted class once), but I liked the name of the fake newspaper, which was Binder News. I chose that because I would have been writing all the information in a binder, and it just sounded cool. So I kept the name, and use it a lot.

X.x, that reminds me when JoeyBelgier used NecroFuckk as nickname on IRC: an IRC op started complaining and threatened to ban him for profanity in nicknames. First, it was Alvin, because of a joke where I would spam my friend's FB wall with chipmunk song lyrics, and it caught on as funny. Then, during bowling one day I decided to go badass and make my name show up as ALVIN THE BADAZZ. I thought it was cool, but then my friend started talking in riddle and said it backward: ASHBAD (or ZZADAB, but he was being creative i guess :P) THE ALVIN. So, then It was ASHBAD_ALVIN. Then Nikky from ticalc (allynfolksjr) started complaining my name was trollish on the cemetech board in the middle of my TaNF topic (quite rude indeed), and then Kerm simply said to "Ignore the troll" (referring to nikky). Though then Kerm asked later if I could actually change it, if possible, so I allowed it to be changed to Ashbad. to stay consistant, I kept it the same everywhere and changed my account's names -- except my ticalc, email address, and PSN accounts.lolwut, now you know the true story O.o

When I was 8, I really really wanted a pet lizard. My friend had a pet toad which she had named Fribbet. I thought that was the coolest pet name ever so I tried really hard to think up of an equally awesome name for my lizard. I came up with squidget. Ironically, I never got the lizard. When it came time to sign up for my first email account a few years later, that was what I wanted to use. Unfortunately, it was already taken (blasphemy D:<). I knew I could just add some number to the end of it, but I didn't want to. I wanted to be different. I wanted to have a unique username. I wanted to not use numbers in it. So my 10 (or 11? I don't remember) year old mind came up with the brilliant idea of putting an X on the end. And that's what I've been using ever since :P

For some reason there is some girl on Twitter with my username. How annoying <_<

oh and btw, I prefer it to be in all lowercase. no capitalizing of the s or x if you can help it, thank you ;)

I forgot to say I write programs on my notebook paper that are usually over elaborate and partially useless. I run out of paper really fast. I am also a seventh grader who has taught himself most of the advanced math he knows and is now learning calculus. Am I still disappointing? If that still didn't work I code in multiple languages at once sometimes. It gets annoying when I try to type in a python/C++ hybrid program so many errors

I remember people on OmnomIRC often refered to your all caps nickname when you showed up, lol. I kinda prefer it in lowercase, though, since it's easier to follow discussions on IRC. :P

My name is an ancestor of the current word "Friday". I chose it because I refer to myself as Friday in my programs and program-related material, but I've found out that "Friday" is frequently already taken online, so I just sign up as Freyaday.

Actually, XBox LIVE came up with my username. When I first got LIVE, I couldn't think of a gamertag, so I started putting in obviously taken gamertags and sifted through the suggestions. One of them was BlakPilar, and the other was FreeformDeer (which my cousin took). Ever since then, I've used BlakPilar for a lot of things, like my YouTube, Last.FM, and my AIM. (I also have a Zune tag of BlakPilar, but my main one is phillyphil0130*).

Well, for my SOAR (gifted) class in 7th grade, we had to come up with a clever way to disseminate information to my classmates, or something like that. I can't remember exactly what the assignment was. Anyways, I thought of the idea of having a newspaper that students could stick in the front of their binders (you know, the ones with the clear plastic covers), and read as they were going to class, or in class. That's how I came up with the name of Binder News.

mine is surprisingly inspirded by the Elder Scrolls game Morrowind. While playing I named my savegames in similar way(well at first with a 'r' between 'o' and 'w') and somehow I sticked with the name fror online-stuff.

Well I know that almost all Spanish people have 2 first names and 2 last names, as well as some French people (more rare). Here it's more 1 or more first names and 1 or 2 last names. Personally I have one first name and 2 last names, plus a never used first name only found on my birth certificate or the like.

I like profile names because you come up with them yourself. They can either be really cool or just dumb.

I came up with my profile name, "Compynerd255", when I created an account on Wikipedia (dumb students at my school caused non-registered users there to be blocked). I thought the name fit me quite nicely, and was rather unique. I put 255 at the end to keep from having "Compynerd" already taken, and I knew it was a number I could easily remember. So, I use this account for everything.

And it's really important to come up with good, permanent profile names. My younger siblings have lost several user accounts on MMOs simply because they forgot their usernames and passwords.

Well... My username has no story. It has two meanings. One that was meant and the other that just happened to be. It was mostly a (very bad) joke between my friend and I... So I got JKAG... Joking Apps and Games. I just used it here. And kinda wish I hadn't used it because I have other better nicknames.
One is Kilmar. Kilmar is a character in a comic I made in 7th grade and then I formed Kilmar Games when I started programming (in Game Maker) and then Kilmar Entertainment when I changed my focuses to more general things. Like a South Park like cartoon (which never happened) and applications and not JUST games.
Then I just decided XVicarious because "vicarious" is one of my favorite words which means to do something through another. Like a parent living vicariously though their child to experience a better childhood through their own children. And I like the letter "X" and it makes it sound cooler.

I now own the domain XVicario.us (clever because I made use of the .us domain extension ;D)

So one day I created the account "NecroBumpist" just to mess with people, however, I actually did very little Necro-Bumping because it was frowned upon.

Anyway, I've been using this name a lot, as well as JustAPerson/JeanSprouts (which are anagrams for each other)

My nickname originates from DJ Omnimaga actually. I was tired of getting so many requests because people thought I was the only site admin for having Omni in my nick, so I got rid of the mnimaga part in it. Now it looks almost like the O_O emoticon, though. :P

@NecroBumpist lol until now I always thought that JustAPers person on IRC was either {AP} or JustCause O.o. ANd yeah when you signed up I was a bit worried you would troll by necroposting on purpose lol

Yes, the community as a whole, was terrible. But the Scripters section used to have quite decent discussion (at then it did, with my old perspective), but alas, now even that section has been tainted.

Though ROBLOX did give me one good thing. Programming.
I originally learnt Lua so I could make games there (something I never was actually good at), and in my time there I became one of the top Lua programmers amongst the forums. I've done so many different things with Lua, many of which I shared there, that Lua is my only language of choice. If I do anything related to programming, it is with Lua. I cannot tell if my mastery of Lua should be considered a hindrance, since C++ / Haskell look fun/useful, yet I just can't be bothered to learn or practice them, knowing that anything I want to do in one of those languages I would have to learn, I could easily do in Lua.

Did the section about scripters went downhill becauise the ones in charge lost interest? Sometimes that happens to forums when some moderators leave.

As for Youtube I don,t have much issues except in the past I had a lot of problems with FL Studio fanboys in my music videos.

Yes, that was a massive contributor.
The ROBLOX company used to have player mods, but a few years ago demoted all mods under the age of 18.
Two of those player mods frequented the Scripters section, and they were extraordinary programmers.

In fact, almost all of my work with Lua assembly/bytecode is based in some manner on the work of one of those mods, named xLEGOx.

So yes, this hurt the Scripters section, but the game community as a whole quickly took up a downward trend as it became more popular.

Now all of the mods are apathetic interns who do a really poor job of maintaining the forums.

But, enough about my past! Onward to the future of Omnimaga!

Speaking of Runescape: Well Jonius7 IS my runescape name. Its the one I mainly use for playing multiplayer games as i created Jonius for DotA originally.
Now i use it for omnimaga because im not that smart here at omnimaga and really dumb to be honest [my former username was jhgenius], so to clear that, i changed my username to Jonius7. I would have done it earlier except for the possible confusion that might have happened with Jonimus, but now I don't have much of a choice.

On many other forums I can still be found as jhgenius or jhgenius01

My previous nick (Streetwalker) was after a Michael Jackson song I liked a lot.
Since you prolly know what it means (I didn't back then :P), I decided to change it. The idea came from Juju before everyone switched to Omninet, the silly nick lenght limit to 8 chars on Efnet made me appear as "Streetwal". That's how Juju came to call me Streetwalrus. :P

I had many other nicknames before these two that I currently use, so if I'm not too lazy, I might get around posting about them.

The way the search is setup now (SMF defaults I think) makes it harder to find anything. The best thing would be if the settings from the old board were restored. It wasn't that great but it was more reliable. By default I think everything is set to 100 or something like below, while normally, option 3, 5 and 6 should be 0%, else those options totally ruin search results.

I was sure that Streetwalrus was meant to be a joke about Turiqwalrus nickname, intending to be Streetwalker and his nick combined together. :P At one point Turiqwalrus considered changing to Turiqwalker. :P

Otherwise, this juju2143 nick is over 10 years old, been using it since the early 00's. In short, it's a deformation of my real name together with the first random number I thought of at the time. Actually, not so random, I looked at the 1234 keys on the keyboard and permuted them. Damn, been a while I'm on the Internet.

Mine came from Picasa Web Albums and Gmail. :)
I was playing around with Picasa Web Albums early on and needed to make a nickname. I didn't really care that much, so I put:
bb, my initials,
010, for no particular reason, and
g, for Google.
Then I decided to sign up for Gmail later, and they forced me to pick one of my already created nicknames—they wouldn't even let me cancel and make a new one to use, so I ended up with this. And then I joined Twitter. And then some other sites. And now here I am on Omni!

Anyways my name is a mash-up of aetos the Greek word for eagle and TI, which is pretty self explanatory.
Back in the time when i registered I used to play these Farmville like click click build and wait online games, one of them was Icaria iirc. That game had a Greek setting so I looked up a random 'cool' word in a dutch-greek dictionary and found that.
I should write a story about the 4 years I've been hanging around here. I've seen quite a few things already.

My nickname comes from when I was back in middle school and just starting to program for calculators. I wanted a cool-sounding name to put on my programs, and the first word I came up with that I loved was Finale. Then I initially slapped an 83 on the end, since the 83+ was the only calculator I had at the time. Sometime around when I got my 84+ I changed the 83 to a TI, and then sometime after that, I joined UTI as FinaleTI. And I just kinda stuck with the name since.

How did you come up with your username?

When I signed up for Nickelodeon.com (to play Nicktropolis, that old game on Nick.com), I wrote down all the things that interested me. Outer space (I was 8 at the time, I have more realistic goals now!) was the only one I could think of. So I put Outerme, because that was describing me. Nick.com then recommended I put a "123" in front of it, and so was born "123outerme". Apparently, Nick.com deleted my account. I clicked on "Forgot my Password", and it said that my username was invalid. I definitely remember signing up as 123outerme on Nick.com, though.
