Title: Look 'em up!
Post by: Thundermagnet on April 14, 2013, 04:59:43 pm
Wow, once again, it has been a long time!  Probably nearing the year mark.  =(
Anyway, I have actually released two albums onto pretty much every major music store out there, so feel free to look up one of the following...
"Thundermagnet"
"Dance in a Trance"
"Total Annihilation"
It is not recommended to look up the last one, as it is made up of my original songs from when I first started composing.  Ugh!
Now, "Fancy Britains Meet Rave Party" is my personal favorite.  11:04 of sheer awesomeness, it has over 100 plays on my iTunes.  (Find it under "Dance in a Trance")
"Oh Yeah" is just a bonus track, if you will.  Don't ask why I made it, I don't even know myself!

Well, it is nice to be back, and look me up!  For if you don't... You shall look like this:  O.O, and I shall look like this:   :evillaugh:.
Good day, everyone!

Nice to see you again :D. By the way I assume you used music distribution right? Hopefully your stuff sells well, since that is kinda expensive >.< (I also use BandCamp, but my stuff doesn't sell as much there even though it's cheaper)

Yeah, I am hoping it sells well too.  So far, I have made a whole $0.42 off of it!  And I paid $95 total...  Hmm...
I go through www.catapultdistribution.com, they distribute the music to the following: iTunes, AmazonMP3, Google Play, Rhapsody, eMusic, Spotify, xBow Live, Medianet, iHeartRadio, Rdio, and 24-7 Entertainment!
Very good company, not one problem so far!

(Feel free to look me up in one of those)   ;)

Seems roughly the same prices as me. Do you have a yearly fee, though, or is it a one time fee for each album?

In my case, the TotKotM album pretty much breaks even or very close, while the Decade of Omni Dance album has lost me money. However, the happy hardcore album made close to $200 in profits so far. Seems like people on iTunes prefer happy hardcore or mainstream dance/pop music.

On Bandcamp I think I made like $100 total since I signed up there in late 2011, but I didn't pay any fee until I subscribed to a premium account for $5 a month for a few months (I recently canceled my subscription)

Also by the way, often royalties come 4 months late or so, so if, for example, I find your album then buy it, you might not notice until like 4 months later. At least Bandcamp pays me directly in Paypal (although they take 15% of my sales)
