MTV Music Generator revived!

(1/2) > >>

DJ Omnimaga:
Tim Wright, a.k.a CoLD SToRAGE has revived the MTV Music Generator (Music 2000) series under a new name: Write Your Own Music! :D

It's not intended to be a sequel to the music creation software series that lasted from 1998 to 2004, but since Tim Wright worked on Music, Music 2000/MTVMG, MTVMG2 and Music 3000, the style is very similar and it includes many of his samples that were already in Music 2000, so assuming the controls are similar to Music 2000, it should not be too hard to get used to it. The interface, aside from the simpler graphics, looks similar to Music 2000, which was called MTV Music Generator in Canada and USA.

Anyway, if anyone wanted to use MTVMG/Music 2000 for making music, I don't think you'll need to go through the hassle of downloading an emulator and setting the plugins up. That's assuming you have an Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, though.

Juju:
Oooh, that's pretty cool! Must buy it!

TIfanx1999:
Pretty neat. If it ever comes out for PS3, I might take a look at it. :)

Sorunome:
Ow, that's neat!

DJ Omnimaga:
What I am curious about is if it still has some guitar and snare samples I use in my metal songs, as well as reverb effects. There isn't much attention about this game online it seems but someone said it misses some important Music 2000 features.
