I think there was already a torrent of DJ's music ... might have been kinda old, though.The Tari from Cemetech created it 3 years ago near the final days of Omnimaga. However him and me were the only two seeders. It was not advertised because it was on an illegal download site.

Yeah but it is not related to my question. That said one day I should look into copyrighting some of my songs. I would like if they were still distributable in some ways, but have a bit of power against people who rename the artist to their own name, like absolix.newgrounds.comDJ, it's kind related because if you could post in those sites, you wont need torrents.

i want to shoot my self for this but the torrent that we put out had a error and it stalls at 99.8% it is fully downloaded at that time even though utorrent says it is not it was a error with making the torrent and such i apologize and i think it will be to much to handle to say to every one redl a new torrent and dl every thing again so yea just so you know 99.8% is actually doneWill new people stall at 99 too? I started the torrent in case someone wants my seed :PYeah only me is seeding right now because ALberthro, Snake_X and Geekboy1011 computers are offline, and my seeding upload speed is 10 Kb/sec, to prevent maxing out my bandwidth.

It just 404's when I click on the download link. However, I tried another song and it worked...
Also I won't provide a zip file of all songs myself for bandwidth reasons and I do not upload one on Mediafire or the like because they do not keep files forever. After a few months we will need to upload the file again. If someone has enough bandwidth to host a zip file, he can do so.They do keep the files up if you just access your account every 90 days (or maybe it was every 60 days. idk.)
Please, I hope you understand. I don't want to continue using my errmm... (special number) to be used as a tracker any more. I will create a new torrent and upload it when it's made. I hope you all understand. This also means you'll have to either rely on DHT or peer discovery or local peer to seed, until the other 2 remaining trackers work. I'm sorry i have to do this, but I don't want to risk anything any longer.

nope not back. I just felt like my lu[|kY numB3R has been going around too much and I feel a sense of urgency to get it off.
Also, you may not realize it, but for some people they get torrent downloads much faster because they rely on each others bandwidth instead of how fast you can download it from wherever your zip file is hosted. This may not be true for all, but for some torrent downloads can reach up to 1 MB/s!
and.. Also, my computer is still for sale, so you may not get to see me much more even less :(

Trackers allow people with the torrent contents or downloading it to find others doing the same and either seed to them or download from them.
It essentially lets everyone keep track of everyone else :D
In some ways torrents are used to reduce bandwidth usage on servers. People volunteers to contribute with their bandwidth so people can download files from them, but seeders can decide how fast they upload.
Ah ok. Is anyone else still seeding, by the way? I need to setup uTorrent to run on Windows startup...

DJ, in case you don't know how, it's Options->Preferences->General->Windows Integration->Start μTorrent on system startup :)
Oh I know, I generally just set that in the options, or I just put the program in Start menu inside the "startup" folder (although idk if that still exists on Win 7)
EDIT: UPDATE! It just finished downloading! I'm gonna try to seed, now.
