I might not be with this computer for much longer so I need to get someone's advice on where i can get free dialup service. I am NOT able to sign up for say.. netzero's plan because it requires so much info, just somewhere where I can just simply sign up and get online without much contact info required. Thank's.

If you are in the US, you can use a public library's internet.
-
Sometimes you can sneak away with a neighbor's wifi. ;) You'd be amazed at how many people don't place keys.
-
i would get on my own wifi connection but I dont have built in wifi on the computer
-
i believe he wanted legal solutions
even if they have keys they are usually easily broken...
don't ask how i know that
-
again I *cannot* use wifi. there is NO wifi card on the computer and I *cannot* buy a wireless dongle due to an even budget. I am talking about dialup, not neightbors wifi.
edit: computer im connecting with is a mac mini G4
-
the only ones i know of cost money
(maybe if you tap your neighbors somehow)
-
eh.. if it comes down to that, ill continue to leech off of this computer.. but thanks for your help
-
Sorry i couldn't be more help. I haven't used dial up in sooo long.
-
yeah lol I understand. I dont know anyone anymore that uses dialup but man i do remember what its like
-
Actually I believe dial-up is now canceled in many areas. My grandparents used to use dial-up until their ISP canceled the service. So they then had to upgrade to broadband. Also why don't you want to give out your info. ???
-
I have to ask my parents because im under 18 and they say that it wont be that much longer.. but they have no idea and neither do I
-
Don't you have any Internet connection at home already? Did your parents cut your internet or something?
That said, I can't help. I remember back in the days at Future Shop stores they had free AOL CDs that let you connect to dial-up, but you had to use their own browsers. Over here they still offer dial-up, but it costs $10 a month and I wouldn't be surprised if it was eventually cancelled.
