Title: Homebrew/Modding Club
Post by: tloz128 on April 17, 2011, 05:25:46 pm
Sup Omni.
So I've been thinking about starting a club at my school pertaining to hardware and software modding/homebrew. It's a very broad topic, so hopefully it would be able to attract somewhat diverse group (of nerds).
Has anybody here had experience with forming/participating in this sort of a club, and if so, how do meetings usually go? Meaning how is time allocated in the schedule? Also, should individuals work on their own projects, or should people work in groups? And, should people have a time frame to finish their projects within, or work at their own pace?

Feedback is highly appreciated.  :)

This sounds cool, there are a lot of DS homebrewers here in the calculator community, and pretty much everyone at my school who has a DS has a flash cart.

I would look into hackerspaces (http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/Hackerspaces).  It's essentially what you are looking for.

Wow, this pretty much perfectly sums up the kind of club I'm talking about. Thanks! :)

No problem.  I actually thought about starting one, but decided not to.
