Well in the horizon I can see iOS coming sometime fall (sources say September). I actually already have it and want to discuss features etc with the populace if interested. Here are some screenshots from my IPod touch 5th gen.

And the tools access, which is really useful.

Copying Adroid and Windows Phone like hell.
-
I'm seeing elements of both SBSettings and Zephyr.. :P Not that I'm complaining, it's tweaks like those that make iblargs somewhat usable.
Now to watch apple try to patent the ideas <_<
-
well i think the new 'slide-up' menu looks nice.. some more than just sound and lock-turning
-
It was time they redesigned everything, it started to look old. But many things are really just a rip-off of Android...
-
Still no widgets? LOL :P
-
it's a nice new design and it had to be changed it was the same for too long
but i don't like the safari icon the "dock" thing and the folders
-
This looks nice, but I didn't even know they were already heading towards 7. I didn't even know there was an iOS 6 to begin with.
I hope this fixes the touch screen typing issues that I found in older OSes. >.<

some screenshots for how it looks on iPad mini:

I don't get why i can't run it on my iPod touch it has the same as iPhone 4 which it will run on..
The keyboard did'n change to much only the coloring.
-
well at least they improved their search thing, i like it like that
-
A new beta was likely going to come today but the developer site was hacked so it is closed for a while now :(

It's well-known that Apple blatantly copies ideas from tweaks from the jailbreak community in release after release of iOS (and occasionally even hires the people responsible (http://appleinsider.com/articles/11/06/03/apple_hires_iphone_jailbreak_notification_developer_for_ios_team_at_corporate_hq)). Cult of Mac has a nice list of the tweaks Apple incorporated this time around at http://www.cultofmac.com/231372/6-jailbreak-tweaks-apple-killed-in-ios-7/
I'm not crazy about the icons, but the UI looks really nice.I don't get why i can't run it on my iPod touch it has the same as iPhone 4 which it will run on..
Maybe it's the RAM requirement? iPhone 4 has twice as much (512 MB) as 4th gen iPod touch.
How did you guys get access to the developer beta?

never looked at that, i doesn't run that well on my iPhone 4, so probably iPod can't handle it at a decent speed with half the RAM.

by paying for it.

I was wondering too why iOS 7 didn't it, and looking at the [wikipedia]List of iOS devices[/wikipedia] table on Wikipedia, that seems to be the only major difference.
Yeah, even a lot of apps on iOS 6 crash and lag on the 4th gen.

It is kind of strange how apple can sue samsung over 'rounded edges on icons' yet still magically introduce blatant rip-offs of android features and be fine with it.
-
Yeah all that looks pretty nice but the second I saw it on Apple's site I shouted "Huge Android/Windows Phone ripoff !". :P I used to be an Apple fanboy until I really discovered the magic of DYI and Linux. :P
Do you even realize that Android is still much more open than iOS without rooting ?

Apple seems to be fine with it, but maybe the legal system won't if Google or an Android OEM decides to make some noise? ;)
yeah, prolly not gonna happen
-
They will probably save that and use it to counter-sue if apple tries any copyright bs

It's just a matter of when the lawsuits start.

Dang! Looks like apple has put itself in a sticky situation! And judging off the pictures posted of the iOS, it looks like iOS 6 with a jailbreak theme installed. :P Seems like apple is always a little behind the jailbreak community on these types of things.
-
Parserp where have you been?????????? *.*
As for the lawsuit I don't think Apple ever had a case in any lawsuits, they just want their competitors to be less successful so that more money can be made with iDevices. :P

This is true. and as for where i've been - to infinity and beyond. Well, not really, I just haven't been on for a while
-
Lol ok, I assume loss of interest in calc-related stuff or busy with school? D:
-
Well, not so much with school, but definitely work. And yes, a little bit of lost interest. But, I started programming for the first time in like 6 months a week or so ago, so hopefully I will get back into the loop of programming :)
-
That would be cool, even if not necessarily for calcs. Remember that some people post about their PS Vita and whatever platform projects from time to time, like that Starblaze game and Back to Cretaceous. :P
