So I signed up to this French NXT competition (http://definxt.com/) between French IUTs (and a Québécois CEGEP) that consists to build a robot under 4 hours with the problem only known at the start. Sounds awesome? Yes it is.
And I heard there's loads of programming languages for the NXT, like ROBOTC (we have a licence) and C#. A teacher just lent me his NXT set until next Thursday (which is the competition day). Now I guess I need ideas to do something with this?
Edit: Best idea will be made and I'll probably send pics.

build a bot that types stuff into a calculator!!!!
j/k hmm im clueless lol
-
Build a robot that follows a line to a destination, retrieves an object at that destination, and then follows the line back and gives it to you.
-
Build a robot that does shoot bullets to a certain red goal (im not kidding)
-
Hmm interesting. Sadly I do not have any idea though D:. I hope you can get one and good luck if you participate.
-
It's tomorrow, and I did something that is supposed to sort colored marbles while my friend did something with 2 wheels and 2 rotating legs.
-
Ah ok, good to hear you got some ideas. Good luck then :D
Also will you be able to post pics once it's finished?
-
Of course. We're supposed to write a wiki page with pics and videos as part of the competition, I'll post them here as well.
-
Cool to hear :D
-
Here's the final product.
(More info in the video description)

Nice. Is the thing the robot seems to be pushing supposed to fall, though?
-
This is cool. I am participating in a competition like that, but we make our robots out of machined aluminum, and program them to reach certain goals in RobotC.

No.

Sorry to hear, what rank did you end at? D:
Still nice, though about the news :D
-
No idea, they only ranked people on the Top 3.
