ya, thats what i saw until i saw a friends emachine in action.  emachines really get a bad rap for what they used to make.

uggg....i decided to return it for the long run.  they dont let you open the case to upgrade stuff like video cards and if anything goes wrong that have a bad record of replacing it.  right now im looking at cyberpower pc's instead and am liking what i see.  i like how some of them have dual AMD so i could play WOW and dl stuff at the same time.  there are other reasons, but those are the main ones.

@Kevin: ya, if you have 256RAM get more. the comp im on has that and it sux

@Rivereye:did you already get it? Who makes it?  ive heard that the AMP XP cpu's arent as fast as the AMD 64's or the duals.

That's not why the 64s are faster. You have all been led into the Intel trap of lies which has convinced you that clock speed is the only thing that determines the speed of a processor. The 64s are faster because they are 64-bit. My Athlon XP 2600+ runs at 2.31 ghz, yet is far inferior to my friend's Athlon 6400 3200+, which runs at 2.0 ghz. This is because of a few things. First , the 64s are 64 bit, which means they can handle more operations at a time. Second, the Athlon 64 series all (except for the lower end Athlon 64 3200s) run on either a socket-754 or a socket 939 motherboard, as opposed to the socket A motherboard which my Athlon XP uses. The 754s and 939s have more pins (754 and 939, respectively), which allows for greater bandwidth to the motherboard. There are a number of other features which make some cpus faster than others, but I won't go into the details. CDI, I recommend looking at an ABS machine, you can get a good gaming rig of them cheap, and they are very high quality and have extremely reputable customer service.

I just bought another Commodore 64 (well actually a C64 DTV). The DTV provides a nearly full hardware emulation of the C64.

C64 Specs:
- 1 MHz 6510 CPU
- 64 Kb Ram
- VIC Graphics Processor (320x200 @ 16 colors)
- SID Sound Processor (3 voice mono)
- Video Outputs : RF, Composite, and S-Video
- 1 Serial Port (daisy chain up to 4 devices)

Ahhh... the good old days. ;)wink.gif

Hmmm... Warriors of Destiny was the 3rd Ultima for the NES. The NES only had Exodus, Quest of the Avatar, and Warriors of Destiny.

Check out this website:

http://www.surfing.net/ultima/ucg/u5_nes.html

I'm not sure about the gameplay differences, but it says the story is considerably stripped down. Unless you are a Ultima fanatic or collector, I would not purchase this one for the NES. :(sad.gif

But... you can play it soon on a TI calc (or emulator). My version will contain the full gameplay along with the complete storyline  :Dbiggrin.gif

its been a couple of weeks since i decided not to get a new computer.  instead, i recently went to newegg to upgrade my dell, which has no pci express OR agp slot.  i thought i was screwed until i found out that they had some old pci radeon cards.  i had 256 RAM with intergrated grafx.  in short, for $108, i got a stick of 512 Kingston RAM and a PowerColor Radeon 9250!  they play WoW (not to mention other computer-related activities) like a dream!

later on im planning on getting a laptop.  im interested in cyberpowerpc's laptops and maybe apple's powerbook if they switch to the intel 64-bit processors.
