Post by: Sorunome on April 11, 2013, 11:55:35 pm
I saw this some months ago, i thought i already made a topic
So yeah, i found this and I thought it was pretty cool: a pen that can draw 3D!
Any thoughts?

I'm actually not that impressed. I guess it's kind of neat, but I just don't see being able to do too much with it. It seems too imprecise for my tastes.

Cool! Can I also draw plastic parts for my projects with that or is it too weak?

Judging by the video it look way too weak for something like that. It looks like more of a novelty item to me.

That seems similar to how some 3D printers work.

Also, I thought there was a topic on this somewhere, too :P

It is how 3D printers work. But you just draw with it instead of printing stuff. Kinda similar to how 2D pens and printers work, but in 3D.
