heheh, teacher proof ringtone

ouch, that hurt.. Im 18 and I could easily hear that...wish I hadn't, because I think I'm deaf in one ear now.. lol
-
nice, the article that I got it from said that if you were under 18 you can hear it, but a friend told me it was under 30

It depends on the person.
-
I guess, my teacher couldn't hear it unless he was really close to it
-
my ears are now ringing from that.
And I run a very loud machine and have a hard time hearing people taliking sometimes.
-
nice, I had a big headache
-
My mom can hear it and she's almost 40.
-
wow, she's got good hearing for her age
-
i had to turn my volume all the way up to hear it and it wasnt even that loud... i think that you need like daredevil hearing to hear that!
-
no your hearing isn't that good then, I can hear it from really far away, and it hurts
EDIT my mom can't hear it (she's over 50)
-
maybe my computer has bad sounding... because i really think my hearing is alright, and i DID put it on full volume, and it was softer than my phone vibrating on a table
-
Not being able to hear it just means that you can't hear that frequency, not that you have bad hearing. Hearing is measured by frequency range as well as the sound level reaching the ear (that's what decibels are), so frequency range isn't all that constitutes "good hearing" (plus, even if frequency range was all that mattered, this ring tone says nothing about the lower frequency limit). It's completely natural for the human ear's sensitivity to high frequencies to decrease; that's why this particular ring tone is most easily heard by children and not adults.
-
well i am 13 and i guess my ears are too old for my body
-
lol at lower volume it sounds like when an old TV is turned on
-
21 and I can hear it with ease and its a highly irritating noise
-
I was nervous that I had hearing damage then I realized my volume was off.
-
nice, lol
-
lowd and clear i can here it
oh and i here this noise all the time like when i plug my phone in ds ect i here the electrical noise from chargers
can any one else do that
-
I can....and I can hear most electronics...
-
yay im not alone most of my family thinks im nuts that i can here the chargers and sometimes the remotes and stuff
-
Hearing the whine of a CRT TV is always a useful power-saving skill!
-
lol
yea tell me exspecially when all of the tv's u own are crt tvs (3 of em)
-
damnet, I hate it when I suddenly hear it harder than other times
XO
It suxs
-
im using the ring tone as a dog wistle it works quit well lol
-
Oh. Wow. NOT a pretty noise.
My mom couldn't hear it though.
-
I can hear it, but are the tiny speakers in cell phones able to reproduce that frequency?
One odd thing with high frequencies is how the loudness seems to change dramatically just by slightly changing your position.
-
lol yeah
be glad that you were not sitting in a class where everybody was playing it at once, now that hurt....
-
You know, sometimes in silence and stuff, my ears will start ringing at almost that exact same freqeuncy...
Oh, and I can hear the TV's and stuff too.
[sidestory]For that matter, we have these lights in our basement that emit a noise a bit lower in freqeuncy, but much louder than that. They are bar lights, so whenever they my parents do something in there, they will turn turn them on. If me or my sister are down there we complain until they turn them off, though my dad still thinks we're crazy because he can't hear it. My mom can't hear them either, but she believes us...[/sidestory]
-
I notice that ringing in silence, too. Are your bar lights on a dimmer or are some kind of miniature fluorescent lights? Some dimmers or electronic fluorescent ballasts can make high-pitched sounds like that, too.
-
Actually, I think they are mini flourecents. Interesting...
-
I've seen compact fluorescents make that sound, though in my cases it's really quiet. Probably has something to do with how they operate at a high frequency (tens of kHz). Maybe it causes vibration or something that makes the sound.
