Title: Hello
Post by: Rienzi on September 19, 2011, 10:07:40 pm
Well, I just got a Casio Prizm (fx-CG10) at a sale for $90 at OfficeMax  ;D

Anyways, my name's Diego, I'm 16, and have only ever used Java before, I meant to learn C a while ago, but I never got around to it... Oh yeah and I guess I'm also decent at MW2 coding (if it counts, I've spent quite a bit of time making mods for that game...).

I plan on learning the programming language for the Casio Prizm, maybe in December when my schedule calms down a bit.

Oh yeah, I am also captain of my school soccer team and I love Ping Pong too! I got into the game "Go" after i heard about that million dollar challenge to design a program that can beat even a low ranking professional player. I was also influenced by Deep Blue beating Kasparov, who wants to get better at a game that computers already won at?

I'm an avid PC gamer, mostly free games at this point, both MW2 and Black Ops were/ are in the process of being cracked, and thus are playable for no money which means that a cash-strapped Highschooler can afford them! (Is it against the rules to post the website of those people? (http://alteriw.net/) I hope not...). That's also the reason i started to code in the first place, making mods like I mentioned above, I think it's been 2 or 3 years, but I haven't made anything in a long time because the games got boring.

If it was possible for those games to run on calculators...

I'm rambling on now though, not much more to say really, other then my love for pokemon would make me the slave of anyone able to get a working GBA emulator on the Prizm. :P

Welcome to Omnimaga Rienzi!

Out of curiosity, what type of mods did you make for MW2?

And for the GBA emulator, it would just be easier to code the Pokemon game from scratch, plus you could make it how you wanted :P

Well I was modding it mostly back before black ops came out, I sort of stopped when I started playing alteriwnet (I feel like I'm advertising mentioning them in all 2 of my posts) The thing is that there are dedicated servers of just about every mod imaginable, and I really was never very good at it... What mods I did make were simple Isnipe mods, I am in a clan of friends who all play FPS games together, and we had a server hosted where we needed a good mod, so my mod had:
A rotation between SND and TDM
Your secondary weapon was a golden desert eagle despite that camo not existing
Everyone spawns with Stopping Power Pro, Slight of Hand Pro, Commando Pro
Knifing works only on glass windows, does no damage to other players, players spawn with a throwing knife
Intervention FMJ+Extended Mags was the primary
It also had a small counter which would give the number of players left alive on both teams. (useful in SND)

Enough about MW2 though I want to learn about something serious... Calculator gaming! My friend just got a TI 83, any suggestions?
