Hello! I have been lurking here for quite a while, and decided it was high time I introduced myself. Mostly because i just remembered I had an account. And I just found this board.
In terms of programming, I used to do TI-BASIC, but now write games entirely in Axe, with basic only used for programs for math. I make games during physics and calculus which include pacman, yet another 2d portal (which is as buggy as a swamp in a rainforest with decaying carcasses), and a couple random original ideas. Sometimes I also get classwork done!
In terms of calcs, I have 3 TI-84+'s. Just because. One of them has a full archive of my old TI-BASIC games. Which are mostly space shooters and platformers.
And now I have wasted some of your time.

Heya welcome!!!!!
How long have you been doing axe?
you should post some of your games in the forum. :)

I believe I started axe around 4.6, and I would love to post my games, but I seem to have lost my cable. And some of them don't compile anymore. Because apparently abs(x) takes more than one argument.

lost it? the 84+ just takes a standard mini-usb, do you have any of those?

Hi! welcome to omni!

Unfortunately, all my other devices are micro-usb. I am a sad panda.

dang that sucks. all my old MP3 players have mini-usb's, so I still have one even though I've lost like 4 or 5 of them :P

Hi welcome to omni! I'm actually looking for game ideas? you mind posting some of those games you made, so I have inspiration?
that is when you get to 40 posts!

i just remembered I had an account. And I just found this board.
Which implies you had an account before discovering Omni? O.O
J/k welcome here :). As suggestion for your old games, if you ever get a cable but don't want to update them all, all Axe versions from 0.0.1 to 1.0.5 are still available on the forums here in the Axe section. :) I of course recommend updating them games, though, since some optimizations were added in later Axe versions. :)

Ah, by board I meant the introduction board. Not accidentally dividing by 0. Which I have done before. And i may update all of my games, but there are many. About one for every week I have been in school.

Yeah I understand the feeling. I still need to convert my two Reuben Quest games to xLIB one day. They run in Doors CS7, but they would still be much smaller in true xLIB format (while still running in DCS7), plus I remember when I translated others into English. It was so long X.x

At one point I started to change all of my BASIC to Axe. Then I saw how many there are. Then I sat in a corner, became overly emotional for a minute, then had some ice cream. A good use of time.

Welcome here, and be sure to not divide by 0 in my face :)
-
100/0 :D
Hmmm.... ???
Undefined? ???
-
HA HA! anyways, my reason for asking was cause I need game Ideas! and no I don't mean to still yours, but there is inspiration everywhere! (and if you haven't seen my last project Mario Shotgun, you should check it out http://ourl.ca/13967 )

I'll try not to, but y/0u never know.

Oh great, you just exploded this lobster again.

Oh great, you just explosed this lobster again.
You shall see no lobsters. Du to your recent loss of eyes. And other facial features.

Oh great, you just exploded this lobster again.
He must be in a critical condition! I wonder who blew him up the first time? >:D
-
Okay, I did it.
-
Okay, I did it.
Did what? Now I am scared about what you did and if it is creeping up behind me. I CAN SEE YOU.

Ouch yeah BASIC to Axe, despite the similarities, is definitively much more work than Omnicalc to xLIB. X.x I would never want to have to convert every game I made to Axe. x.x

Now that you said that, go convert ROL3 to Axe :P
-
O.O
No way D:
I did have an Omnicalc version in the works in late 2004 but I gave up on it.
