Hi everyone!
I'm pianoman, and I'm currently trying to learn how to program in Lua for the Nspire. :w00t:
I programmed a game or two in BASIC before I realized you couldn't do anything with it.
Don't really know what else to say...
Thanks!

Awesome. I really hope TI lets us use Lua.

Yeah, it sucks, doesn't it :P

While you're thinking about it, have some peanuts!

Hi and welcome to omnimaga
and yea, basic isn't really meant for games, but it's very good at math

Heya pianoman and ben_g, welcome on the forums. :D
Actually you can make good games in BASIC, but you are far more limited than in ASM/Axe.

Indeed(at least on the 68k calcs). I must say there are quite some program capabilities on 68k basic.

I think he meant for Nspire ;)

Welcome! Hope you enjoy your stay :)

Yeah maybe. I know some people claimed we could do nothing in 83+ BASIC too before, though, which is a misconception because they haven't tried hard enough. See for example Serenity, that Bomberman clone on ticalc.org or *cough* some large RPGs in the archives.

Hi pianoman!
Since I already talked to you some on irc, this really isn't an introduction, but I wanted to say, "Hi," anyway. :P
