Oh lol I just noticed the IP address lol (altough the hostmask is different), is he actually the other guy who played Starcraft with us a few times?
-
Welcome, I dont have any peanuts...but ya im sure you'll have a good time here anyway.
-
Nope different friend, though still a friend. The guy we play with has no interest in calculators. This is the guy who actually started me on the calculators. Then I went and learned a lot more. :P
-
Aah ok ^^

@jsj795: Affirmative.

Cool, so I take it that today Megajake03 is about to wow us with 16-level grayscale first-person shooters? :D

About basic editor. I think he may have shown it to me once but i am not testing it
also how do you do the screen shots that move do you just video your screen as you play it?
-
Yep, although most emulators have a built-in record function.
I prefer recording it with Camstasia Studio though. (not free)
-
Due to my inactivity in september I haven't noticed some off the new members saying hi <_<
therefor: Welcome at Omnimaga ^^
-
I fell realy stupid by asking this but what is an emulator? is it on the TI-84 or something because all i have is a TI-83

An emulator is a (computer) program that can simulate a calculator. They're mostly used for testing out programs that might mess a real calculator up, or recording screenshots, or if you don't want to bother sending files to your calculator.
-
Oh ok. what site would you sugest getting it from

The best out there is WabbitEmu (http://www.revsoft.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=32&sid=5c6acc48834b9429b6044a56d87ebaaf). The latest build is probably the most recent attachment in the "Bug reports" thread.
You also need to get a ROM image of your calculator, which is easiest to get using rom8x (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/373/37341.html). Follow the directions and you should be good to go :)
-
Or you can simply film your calc. Make sure to config your camera so it's not too blurry, though.
-
Thanks and i think i am going to go with the emulator, filming my calc would be way to hard.
-
true, i usually do it only if a game in particular (such as Snake Hunters) doesn't run properly in any existing emulator) or if I want to make a youtube video of a project and don't want everyone to post "fake"
-
oh ok
also cooliojazz is helping me and said he was going to create a topic about it in i believe staff projects.
although i may be wrong on where
-
I wonder where did he went actually o.o, I haven't seen him in quite a few days x.x
-
As far as he told me he hasn't gotten home yet
and yesterday he didn't get home early enough to get on before he had to go to bed
Edit:Also i just went on the Wabbitemu website and have no idea how to get to the download.
Edit2: the rom8x doesn't work either
-
Well he actually just went on IRC just now. He just didn't posted in over one week and wasn't connected to anything for 3 or 4 days x.x
As for the Wabbitemu download, I know it's on http://group.revsoft.org website, but I have no clue which version is the latest stable one, someone else will probably need to awnser x.x
-
I found out about cooliojazz
also thanks for the website
-
Latest stable release should be at http://revsoft.org/wabbitemu.zip (http://revsoft.org/wabbitemu.zip)
-
It says i need a rom to run it what is that?
-
A "ROM" in this instance is pretty much all the code and data needed by the emulator to run it as a calculator. Since providing such ROM is "legally questionable", you can obtain your own if you have a TI-83 Plus or Ti-83 Plus SE graphing calculator and some linking software that'll let you do a "ROM dump". TiLP is a good PC program to use for that purpose (if you can get it to work). Please don't ask for ROMs here, as I believe it's against the TOS to do so (among other things), but I believe it's okay to say how you can get your own copy legitimately.
-
Oh ok and hopefully i can get a calc to computer connection cable soon
