Not much is known about these mysterious people except that they all carried calculators of some kind and they all seemed to converge on one house in particular. Experts estimate that the combined power of their fabled calculators is greater than all the worlds super computers put together. The group seems to be holding out in the home of a certain DJ_O, who the Omnimagians claim to be their founder. Such power has put the world at a standstill with everyone waiting to see what the Omnimagians will do...

Wait... This just in, the Omnimagians have sent the UN a list of demands that must be met or else the world will be "submitted to the wrath of Netham45's Lobster Army". Such demands include >9001 crates of peanuts, sacrificial blue lobsters, and a wide assortment of cherry flavored items. With such computing power stored in the hands of such people, we can only hope these demands are met.

In the wake of these events, we can only ask, Why? Why do these people make these demands, what caused them to gather, and what are their future plans...

Yeah originaly post count was enabled in intro, but then people started using the intro board as a backdoor to raise their post count with no effort, so it got disabled. It got re-enabled again when the spam slowed down, but when activity peaked, we had to disable it again D:

Also I hope that when you are experienced with C++ that you stick around for a while or even still do some calc stuff from time to time. It would suck if you vanished after 6 months :(

We have a non-calc projects section anyway, not to mention the Ndless allows you to program in C for the Nspire, meaning you could port some simpler computer C games you would make to the Nspire :D

I am interested in soundtracks mostly from games like Final Fantasy. I also listen to muse, Coldplay, and some Disturbed.

I do plan to stick around a while. I may even help develop the site when Im skilled enough.

Yeah it would be cool. Of course, for that, though, the user needs to have been around for quite a while, though, since we try to know them first and see if they'll remain around. However, there are occasions where some people may be able to help even without file access. E.g, Netham45 gives someone the OmnomIRC source code, the user modifies it to fix stuff and finally Netham45 replaces the old source code, making a backup of it beforehand.

Aah ok. But yeah, keep in mind that there are things we can do but others we cannot. I am not a website coding person, personally. I just dislike it. Hence why we are using a pre-made software with mods. :(

Just creating the forum default theme, for example, took me about 2 weeks x.x. 1 week to design the images then another to edit the CSS/do some adjusting x.x.

Aah ok I see. Personally I'm more into the design part of stuff than coding. When I do games, I like to add features and stuff but not to code them. THis is why many of my calc games, despite being liked by many people (and 7 of them being featured on ticalc.org in news articles), the optimizing part of the coding was rushed. Illusiat 13 saw lots of optimizations, but many were missed, I am sure.

*before* the abundance of limited addition peanuts were found.  I bet a certain blue lobster we know was hoarding them, and giving them out to people sekrutly >.>

Edit: The peanuts are a meme from looonngg ago, when omnimaga was... idk 4 years younger I guess.  Just a friendly introduction :D

Yeah someone on the old forums (Invisionfree) started it around mid 2006 (maybe before), and it spread among all users over time, so much that around late 2007 and early 2008, it even spread on United-TI forums (which was heavily frequented by Omnimaga members at the time) and when Omnimaga re-opened after a 6 months downtime, people kept the meme alive :P

I think the sentence that started it was "Don't forget to grab peanuts at the entrance!", in response to someone's intro. Before the peanut bag, we had a peanut emoticon :P

At least we have a meme that started before rickroll ;D
