Hi, I go by the name blue_bear_94. I also post on TI-BD and Cemetech. I have written in TI-83+ Basic, TI-89 Basic and C (89). I am currently working on Sunrise 3, a TI-83+ RPG.
-
Welcome :D
and woohoo! TI-83+ RPG! what language is it written in? assuming from your introduction, I'm guessing it's TI-83+ BASIC?
-
Welcome here. :)
Where can I find the Sunrise 1 and 2? :)

Yes.
Welcome here. :)
Where can I find the Sunrise 1 and 2? :)
Sunrise 1 is attached.
Sunrise 2 is here (http://thegeniusclan.ucoz.com/load/sunrise_2/1-1-0-9) (contains some language).
Neither of these two are complete, since they were erased by a RAM clear.
Edit: Sunrise 3 0.7 is releasing soon. I've decided not to release 0.6 officially. I'll have to go through the pain of archiving all of my programs, and face the possibility of TI-Connect failing...

Hey welcome here ^_^
Peanuts?
!peanuts
-
What is about this whole peanut thing? I've seen it on one other thread already.
-
We welcome every newcomer with peanuts. It's the tradition.
-
Oh. Thanks. (nom nom nom)
-
I have no idea why but trying to send some of Sunrise 2 subprograms to wabbitemu gives me "not enough space" error even though it's like 50bytes or so? ???
-
Did you try any other emulators?
-
no, cuz I don't have any other :( also I can't try it on my actual calc cuz it's at home and I'm at office
-
You work?
Also, what calculator and OS are you using?
-
TI-84+SE, OS2.43 on wabbitemu (same setting for my actual calculator also)
And I've looked at the programs that were having trouble sending. Idk why it was throwing errors.
Also, yes I work, I'm in the office right at this moment :P
-
How much RAM do you have free right now?
-
19000bytes. It's completely empty except for Sunrise 2.
-
Did you still fail in transferring some of the subprograms? If so, which ones?
-
Hi and welcome here. Glad to see there are still 68K programmers around. :) Also I should try your RPGs when I have some free time. That's one of my favorite genre. Of course however I tend to have some bias towards ASCII-art or graphical ones, but it's fine regardless :P

I've started the new topic as this is introduce yourself topic and we were going pretty off-topic :P
-
I'm going to release Sunrise 3 v. 0.7 no later than May 23. I should have the entire Sunrise 3 RPG done and uploaded no later than December.
-
Good to hear. :) Be sure to make a topic about it when ready :)
That reminds me... I haven't finished an entire calculator RPG project since January 2005. O.O
-
I was inspired by your calculator RPGs, LOL.
-
Oh ok lol, which ones in particular? (since I made a lot)
-
In particular, the Illusiat series inspired me...
-
Aaah ok ^^, the old-skool stuff. Quite ironically those only got popular in 2009 after I posted Youtube videos of them. Before, they were pretty much ignored and most people prefered Reuben series ???.
-
I think I heard of it from your TI-BD post.
-
Aaah ok. I used to go there but then left due to an issue (which stopped afterward, but I didn't return since I pretty much quit programming BASIC afterward). Back then I revived the Illusiat series with Illusiat 13, but then lost interest so the game was like 90% complete and released as is.

That's a shame.
-
Just curious, since Sunrise 1 and Sunrise 2 are in menu, is Sunrise 3 also menu-based? or will it be more graphics based?
-
It is partially menu-based and partially graphics-based (outside of battles).
-
ahhh okay =] good luck!
-
So, what projects are you working on?
-
I'm working on Tale of the Lost Map (in short, TLM) which is 83+BASIC RPG :)
-
Nice.
-
Nice there are some graphics. I tend to prefer games where we can move around maps and explore. For battles I don't mind menus, though.
-
Did you download the program?
-
Not yet, since I was busy with work and was hanging with juju tonight. I will most likely download it monday or tuesday.
