Hi there, my name is stevon8ter and I'm a new member. I've allready read some topics and now I'm joining.
I know this is something yoy guys allready talked about a lot but it's still my problem:
TASM + devpac8x/binpac8x isn't working.
devpac8x doesn't work cause i have 64 bit.
But what about binpac8x ?
I allready installed python, and now i don't really know what my batch file should be.
Greetings, stevon8ter
PS: sorry for my bad english, I'm from Belgium :P
-
First of all, welcome to Omnimaga, have some peanuts :)
!peanuts
For your problems, devpac8x might be a 16-bit application, so you'll probably want to run it in DOSBox.
PS: Lots of people here aren't English native, including myself, so don't worry :)
-
So if I run it in DOSbox, it would work normally?
Thanks for the info.
Btw: I don't like peanuts :P
-
Welcome :)
Also, if you really don't know how to say something in English, you may post it in Dutch, as there are a couple of dutch speaking people here that could translate it or help you.
I'm also Belgian, but I'm not a z80 programmer so I can't help you :)
-
hi, welcome to omnimaga :)
to make it look like there are a lot of belgian members over here, i post here to say that i'm belgian too :)
-
You should be able to put it all in a folder and mount it in dosbox and use that. Can't guarantee it'll work as I've never used it, but it should.
-
Ok, thanks to all members who welcomed me,
There will be indeed be some things you won't understand. I'm 15 years old... :P
And how do I mount it exactly? (I know, not spelled right)
And can i change the keyboard from qwerty to azerty?
-
Ok, i found the mounting and azerty part.
But now i have another problem:
i can convert to .bin with asm and normal cmd and all stuff.
But I don't know what batch file I should use now to convert it to 8xp
-
Now, I think I now what's wrong, I only can mount 1 directory at a time? And devpac8x jumps to 2 directory's, i'll try to solve it by placing everything in the same folder.
-
Ok, people, you can close this topic, it worked :P
-
Keep in mind there is a 'modify' button, so you don't need to post 4 times in a row lol, but welcome to omni!!
-
Thanks,
And:
disp"Ow, I forgot"
lol :P
-
Haha,
Welcome here!
(I'm dutch and know a bit of z80 so maybe I can help you)

Thanks all,
But now I must leave, I'm in the middle of exams and my parents don't know that I'm "playing or researching" on the computer.
They think I'm studying french :p
PS: How do I set my autograph?
like the black line and than:
-Languages I posses:
*html
*TI 84 basics
-languages I'll posses soon:
*TI 84 asm
:P
-
Ok, to help you its languages you master.
Also, you should also try to learn Axe, it's much easier than z80 and almost as powerful.
-
I know it's easyer to master :P
but somehow my ti 84 plus gives an error or doesn't do anything after compiling.
Sometimes if I compiled something I have to reinstall my OS cause if I do like (1000*30)/2.pi it gives a ram clear
-
dafuq?
That sounds really weird, what version are you using?
-
Do you mean OS version?
It was 2.55 , now i changed to 2.30 for the anti-press-to-test :P
Or do you mean axe?
That was the first one you find on ticalc.org
-
ok so upgrade to 2.43 and use some program to remove PTT.
-
Ok, but I'll update tommorow-noon.
And do you know any program that blocks it?
-
I believe thePenguin77 made one somewhere around here, along with several other os patches... or look on ticalc.org.
-
I used mapar7 (?)'s one.
-
Can you give a link?
If not, I'll search it on my own :P
-
I can, gimme five minutes.
Also do you have any projects at the moment?
-
Look here (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/425/42591.html) for mapar's or
here for thePenguin's can't find it right now. Here (http://ourl.ca/8921) is one that has a slew of OS bug fixes as well or you can look on brandonw's site for one.
-
Only useless.
1) a program that asks a username and password and stores everything in one list.
2) a program with several 5x5 blocks that I try to make on a way I don't know about so far (but I don't know much about routines]
and thanks for link, i'll try it tommorow, now I'm going to erase my internet history and go downstairs to wath TV
-
Heya and welcome here. :)
As for TASM it's very old, so a suggestion I would have is to use Doors CS SDK or WabbitCode tooks, which both works under 64 bit OSes and are more reliable. However if you want to stick to TASM you will have to use DOSbox or something like that.
I wish you good luck in your future programming and I can't wait to see what you will come up with in the future. :)
-
Thanks, I'll definitly will take a look at the doors program.
And thanks for your welcoming.
I'm just a noob programmer. I know most of basics commands, but I'm not good with routines and stuff, that's why I never make my program public, cause they're not as good as other programs. And this is my opinion: never post a program if there's allready such a program and if yours is worse than that :P
Ok, DJ_O, thanks for the tip, Doors CS SDK works perfect.
And I'll think I'm going to open a new forum, cause this is an "introduce yourself" :P
-
That is a wrong view. If you post your programs, others can comment on it and thus help you improve.
By the way you should start posting outside this board :P
Create topics on things you don't understand or reply to topics you like.
-
Ok, than I will post my first program today, i'm going to call it "LOGINV1"
can I post the program here or has it to be on ticalc? I don't really care but I'm justing asking it :)
-
You better do it here (You'll first have to have 5 posts tho, else you cannot upload stuffz).
-
Ok, and 5 posts, are that like 5 replies on someone else his topic or what is it exactly?
(I know, i'm noob)
-
Yeah, you could also create a topic for your program already and post the attachment later on.
Just take a look at the "new posts" page and reply to some topics you find interesting (only constructive posts of course)
-
Ok, i have 5 posts, I'll now go and make a new topic where i'll post my program (I'll first translate it to english :P)
