hi there guys. as the subject states, im a fresh TI owner. only previous graph calculator i had were casios..
noticed the casio prizm the other day at the university, and i got thrilled. what a awesome machine.. so i bought two ti nspire cx instead.... :w00t: one with cas and one non cas..
started to google alot about the prizm. and came to the conclusion that it rather was an envolment of my previous FX-9860GII. not a revolution.. i am a gadget freak, and like the options i had with the Nspire`s.. so i went for it. hope i`ll not be let down..
i understand that TI in general is a "tougher" calculator to learn vs Casio.. but i hope i`ll manage..
Regards from Norway..

Welcome on Omnimaga! We have lots of TI-Nspire programs, and I'm sure you won't be able to wait after the release of Ndless 3. Anyway, have some peanuts :)

Welcome! In all honesty the TI line is quite user friendly. I can't speak for the Nspire specifically as it is one of the few TI calculators I don't own. So greetings from a fellow gadget freak! =)

thanks folks.. ok, sorry to pop my cherry so soon in public. but i wondered what is ndless 3? tryed google, but damn i got alot of hits..
is it a replacement OS? please do elaborate..

As long as you don't want to program your Nspires in a compiled language, you'll be fine.
Welcome to the forums :)
EDIT: Ndless 3 is the hack that will allow people to program in compiled languages on the Nspire CX line. However, TI has a habit of making Ndless hacks unusable with OS updates. It's also unreleased at present, so no compiled languages are available for the Nspire.

Heya and welcome here :)
I personally like the Nspire CX more for the power it has, but I like the Prizm more for the freedom it offers for programming. On the Nspire with OS 3.0 or higher, we still cannot run C/ASM games like the Gameboy emulator or Doom.

Hopefully soon...

inb4 TI blocks Ndless 3.0 x.x
