Ok, first off, if this shouldnt be here, im sry...

My name is alex, im the lead programmer of alex10819 Productions, i program for the TI-8x series in TI-BASIC. I run the TI-Programming Union, and i enjoy heavy metal (in German, its my creative music... in English, its just for fun...) I'm currently learning German as my second language, and might take a semester or two of french in my senior year...

Mein Name ist Alex, ich bin die Haubtprogrammer aus Alex10819 Productions. Ich Programme fuer die TI-8x auf TI-BASIC. Ich fuehre die TI-Programming Union, und Heavy Metal ist mein Lieblingsmusik.

Just to test my knowledge of German... (not that great at it...) (And yes, I did read the top paragraph, but this is a direct translation... tell me how close I am. :))

I would speak more of it if my stupid teacher had given us a bigger vocabulary, and quit worryin about how we could take 5 words and be able to keep a conversation up with it... <_<

our teacher taught us to curse in German... she doesnt care if we curse in German, but we get ISS for english cursing...

LOL, same thing here. In elglish class and spanish class (havent spoken spanish for 2 years sorry) teachers taught us to curse but if we cursed in french (our main language) we can get in trouble

of course, i could say something like:

in which case you would want to delete the post (jk)

of course, not all German sounds mean... theres nothing mean about the word "gift" is there? (actually, that means "poison" in english... we had a good laugh over that in German class)

yeah... Frau Malone wanted to get the 8th graders to sign up for German when they got to high school, so we went and recorded a heavy metal music video... i ran the sound board and lights...

we went and presented it to the 8th graders, and one pipes up "so, whats a 'German Schei

i dunno... they gave me In School Suspension for typing "die" in command prompt... god knows what they might do if they caught me typing "shutdown -s -m \\g4-pc-21" in command prompt...

I'm glad teachers here are more kind and less harsh (except at the beginning of hi-school), and I guess "shutdown -s -m \\g4-pc-21" is the command to shut down thecompy right? %)

on a other note 700th post!!!! :woot: I just realised I had over 40% of all forum posts tho <_<

Hmmm... my language class isn't that fun.  I take French (can't do that toungue roll thing to take spanish) and the teacher flipped out on a student a forth of the way through the year.  So then we had substitues for a while, and then we had a permanent sub who was a retired French teacher for the rest of the seimester.  We really didn't do anything and he didn't care either, he actually insulted some students regularly (but they thought it was funny...?)  He figured he was too old, so he's just a regular sub now.  Then we got another French teacher who was old and she couldn't hear or care (she forgot about assignments and sometimes didn't even talk or look at us for entire class periods.)  The little work we got was really easy.  So French became a study hall for me.

EDIT: Btw I know this is off-topic but did you succeed joining #omnimaga IRC channel agtain because I know the bot banned you but then I unbanned you immediately after. They tend to do that when we post multiple lines in a  row

I had probably left the computer at some point.  I tend to do that, since I really have a short attention span (like many other people I know).  So I have no idea.
