Title: Just wanted to introduce myself as the new kid on the block

Well back when I was in highschool (2004-2006),  I learned how to program in z80 assembly.  I did not make any extraordinary programs or games though.  Well I just recently found my TI-83 Plus and my silver link usb cable, when I thought of all the good times and memories this little calculator brought me.  I decided to look up the old scene and see what was going on.  Well there has been lots of progress in the past 5 years, but I also see the scene has died down a whole lot since I was active.  I have been looking at the axe parser as what I want to start out with and then maybe move my way into asm again.  I have been working some with the axe parser and I wish we had this thing back in the day cause I could have made some awesome games with the speed of it.  Well enough of me blabbing,  time to get a project started  ._..  Happy coding 8)

Awesome and howdy! Actually, there are some sites that have gotten really slow, but sites like Omnimaga have gotten very active!

Heya and welcome here. And to correct you I think the TI scene has actually picked up again over a year ago. It used to be much more dead around late 06 until early 09. I remember one year there were no major release for z80 calcs at all. In 2010 activity picked up again to levels close to 2004, but the activity shifted to different sites including Omnimaga, as the staff of other sites moved on in real life. Currently it's slightly less active than last Fall, though.

ANyway glad you came back and hopefully you stay around for a while. I myself was active since 2001 but only started participating in discussions around 2003. I don't code anymore since July 2010, though.
