Title: Siapran's presentation
Post by: Siapran on January 19, 2014, 10:24:50 am
I have to admit I haven't been creative with the tittle.

Hi there, I'm Siapran, a long time friend from Eiyeron (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2506).
I've been programming on casio calculators for a while now, havent done anything outright extraordinary, but I've got a few achievements of my own.
I'm apparently capable with pixel art, so if anyone needs my help, I'll be happy to give it.

So there, after a few months of stall, I've decided to get back to programming with a few unfinished projects to complete (minesweeper, a fighting game, a 3D flight simulator in space and a RPG project, most of which are made in collaboration with Eiyeron and a few friends). Who knows, I might even grab myself a TI84 or such and try out some Z80 assembly.
In any case, I'm happy to join in the community, and I hope I can bring in interesting stuff for you guys.

cheers!

Hey welcome to Omnimaga! You should definitely pick up a TI-84 if you're able. They're pretty nice little machines. :D

Thanks for the peanuts!
since I'm going to stay here for a while, I might as well give out more information about me.

I started programming 3 years ago when I discovered my Casio calculator, and immediately went mad over it.
I met Eiyeron on planete casio. Back then, I only did very basic stuff. I've got a psychological disorder that makes long projects impossible to maintain on my own, so I founded GeekBros with Eiyeron and a few other pals. We started a whole bunch of projects, only a few of them actually got completed, none of mine did.

in the past year, the group's members slowly drifted away one another, and the group finally failed.
but I'm still determined to complete these projects with my friend, one day or the other, and this time I'll make sure the day I work on these projects is today rather than tomorrow.

apart from that, I'm currently studying computer science in the equivalent of college in france.
I've purged all of my computers from microsoft's malicious OSses, and my two machines run Arch Linux.
I discovered MLP about a year ago, when people requested my help for transcribing and translating the season 3 pilot, and I've been a moderate fan of the series ever since.
Actually get rid of that 'moderate'. I don't think I can be considered a moderate anymore since I've read Fallout Equestria and FoE: Project Horizons (total wordcount 2 000k. that's two times the harry potter complete saga).
I'm pansexual, and I'm currently in a relationship with a fabulous boy I met over the internet. I spend all my holidays with him, since he lives 400km away from me.

known programming languages:
BASIC, Lua, C, Ada, 68kasm, C++ along with bash, perl, php, html/css

Ah, cool, you know 68k Asm? There are a few calcs with Motorola 68000 processors, like the TI-89 and 92 calcs, but there isn't as much 68k activity as there is for the TI z80 calcs and the Casio and HP calcs.

I saw some of your sprite work, it is excellent! Welcome to Omni :)
