Could you use LaTeX? Here's an online editor that gives you a GIF: http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php (http://www.google.com/).

Sorry, that was a Googroll :) Here's a real link: http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php (http://www.codecogs.com/latex/eqneditor.php).

It might be kind of confusing, because it's kinda like BBCode or HTML, in the sense that you gotta know a bit of how LaTeX works. Just click the a/b button, and it'll paste \frac{}{}. Put your numerator in the first set of braces and your denominator in the second. The backslash is just the command symbol, much as HTML uses angle brackets and BBCode uses squares.

I'm assuming you're working with a Microsoft Word that is before the 2007 version?

Ah ok. That explains it. Did you get Deep Thought's website working right?

Yes i did, it's amazingly useful. Wish i had known about it a long time ago.

(Off topic: While you're paying attention to this, what page is the most updated version of your spriter on?)

And related to guy's issue, I have Word 2008, and when I first used it, it had the "Insert symbol" choice in one of the menus (I think), but after messing with it for a few months, it seems to have disappeared. Anyone know about this?

It should just be on the original post of the spriter's thread.  Here (http://ourl.ca/6631/109089) it is.

What do you mean exactly?

I don't know. Isn't there a "Insert symbol" or "Insert special character" choice in one of the menus?

Well 2007 was the version, I believe, that switched to the "Vista-like" look where its all slick and snazzy. And in 2007 if you go to the "Insert" tab on the far right there is a equation and symbol one.

Oh, wait, I'm still using 2003 :P My bad.

Oh haha, well that changes things. Then yes, there should be a "Insert Symbol" option.

Not really part of the equation editor but it's part of my assignment, I can't find pictures of 5-stellar numbers and 4-stellar numbers, and I don't know how to make a decent looking one. Assignment is attached to explain stellar numbers.

Why do you need pictures of 5 and 4-stellar numbers?

I need them for the section "Now repeat the steps above for other values of p"

This is a math paper but we have to explain everything and give multiple diagrams and such.

Did your teacher ask for drawings? Because it just sounds like the math is what you need to do.

IB paper, he gave us an example of one and it had pictures, diagrams, tables, and such. Attaching current work on mine.

Edit: by the way i'm just asking if someone knows where i can find a picture because google's being annoying, if not thats fine i'll just do the rest without pictures

Well unfortunately I think you're going to have to draw them yourself or make them on the computer. You won't find any since I don't think it is technically a math term or something. I don't know if that makes sense.

Ah ok I guess I'll just continue without them then, i need to get to sleep soon.

Which ones do you need?

It's not really necessary it's not as though i'm going to fail because i'm missing some pictures, and i don't want to bother you too much about it. Besides I've already worked around it and am almost done, now to put calculator screen captures in it.

Ok, well hope your teacher doesn't dock you all that much for not having them.

My teacher doesn't even grade them, i think they get sent off to some other school in the world and then they grade them.

Thanks! Turned it in Today and i think it looks better than most of the other ones i saw, LaTeX helped a lot, along with Wabbitemu for calculator screens so i think a made a 3/3 on the use of technology part.

Ultra-necropost.

Wouldn't you believe it, I'm also doing a math assignment stellar numbers (and also triangular numbers).  I google "triangular numbers and stellar numbers", and this is the first result on the list...
