Kind of related, I was looking at this (http://www.directcg.info/minecraft-to-blender.html) a couple of days ago, but i couldn't find out how to do it at all.

Yeah, I made that on Blender 2.62

If you really want to make animations, then first try to make a realisitic cyclic walk/run (this means to make a walk animation)
Then try to make it different actions, like climbing, fighting, etc ...

I don't think you aim to have a project at this level, you first try to understand that the tool you have in your hand can hurt.

Wow, took me until now to notice the dead end sign and that the guy was digging straight down into lava.
Sometimes I feel good because I can make a lego snow speeder, or I can animate a ball splashing into lava, and then I see stuff like this, and I relies that I am a noob.
