Title: | To Arms, Brothers; We Are At War! (pt II: The Rebellion) |
Length: | 5:45 |
Glad to see you play more guitar stuff :D. I don't have much time to listen to this yet but I'll try to do so when I get enough free time (I think I have like 1 year of new music to listen to in this sub-forum x.x)Oh, I've been really busy these past couple weeks; I've got another two songs all tabbed out. I've got about a dozen or do tracks planned for this album, and I've made work on about 7 of those.
"Ha; So much for 'superior'!"
Working more on the song. The piano acts as a placeholder for vocals; pretty much all except the second verse (and maybe the first bridge) has been written.
I've actually found a full title for this track, but.. let's just say I probably wouldn't be able to fit the entire thing on FA, and since the entire track is a two-parter, I still need to write Part I (which itself needs to be given a subtitle). So for here, I've just given it the subtitle "The Rebellion".
Either way, it's found its place, and is slowly taking shape.
Not really sure what to tell you. It's a bit too bare bones for me at the moment. I'd like to hear it with bass and drums added in. Also, it seems a bit repetitive at the moment.Don't worry, it's still being built; I've already added the bass (which will go on the next version), so I just need to write the drums (and finish the lyrics). I tend to write the drums last, since they're not usually my strongest point (I'm no drummer).
It sounds pretty good so far. ;)Thanks. :)
Note: So I've pretty much learned that QuickTime is an arseface with this MIDI because I wanted to be fancy and have loads of pitch bends and QT was all "nope". Windows Media Player doesn't do the file much justice either, thinking that one MIDI Channel is slightly out of key then the other whenever it wants to (serves me right for double-tracking the guitar I suppose).
But I digress. Aside from writing the lyrics to the second verse, this is pretty much finished now.
As you can probably gather from the title, this is most definitely replacing my older MIDI "TABWAAW", so that one (along with the older versions to this song) will be moved to Scraps.
Still gotta write Part 1, though. Haven't even thought of a suitable subtitle for it. I know what as far as story is supposed to happen.. but like I'm gonna say that out loud ;D
Simple demo instrumental version. Guitars will be re-recorded (and recorded further; some sections are still missing). Drums will be mixed a little further. Vocals will be added.
Basically, the whole thing will be changed. :P At least you know what it sounds like outside of the MegaDrive SoundFont (although some elements are still in this version)
Mixed in REAPER v4.22/x64
Drums sequenced using Independence Free (Acoustic Kit 3).
Guitar used: Tanglewood Telecaster (Drop C#/Db tuning)
Amp used: Line 6 Spider IV 15
