So, I started making several piano arrangements of DJ Omnimaga's music.
So far I've made two (and a half) arrangements using musescore, which can be found at the bottom of the post
Includes sheet music, midi, and musescore files
Song List:
1. Grooving to the Melody
This one is quite simple, and the only thing could be tricky is the dotted eighth rhythm in the left hand.
There's a lot of freedom with this one; you can repeat the sections as much as you want, skip around, and add variation as you go, like the original song.
2. The Warrior Says Goodbye
Not finished yet, but you can find what I have so far in the MuseScore Files folder
3. Void
For 2 pianos.
This one is pretty much the same 2 bars repeated, but it slowly increases in awesomeness to the end.
And there will be more than just this :D
Here's how Void sounds:

Epic! Might be fun to do cover a few with a guitar
-
Nice! I'll try them out ^_^
Void would work pretty fine for the soundtrack of something epic or with lyrics, IMO.
-
"Void" is really good! I am not very good musically at all... :'( A guitar version would sound great... I think that one of those techno sounds that buzz and sound like a fargo that is echoed and held out in ties/slurs at each of those drawn out sessions of cords (I can't remeer, those echoey thing that look like rainbows on sheet music) (like here: ), blended with the guitar playing the notes would sound pretty cool! ;)
-
epic7, I use musescore. I am actually a composer, as you might have noticed. :)
I love the program, and will help you write some versions! Would you like them to be PLAYABLE lol or just awesome?
-
The ones I've written are all playable so far
But I'll probably do some ridiculous impossible-even-for-a-player-piano versions of these pieces :P
-
just make sure to have 10 different notes all over the keyboard and it'll be unplayable even for the most experiences player :P

There are plenty of pieces with intervals of 10ths-13ths... and chords with 14 notes or more.
Oh, and epic7, pwease may I halp
-
May I help, too. I use Printmusic, but I have Musescore installed!
-
Haha, nice, maybe another thing to put on radio omnimaga :P
-
*looks up printmusic*
Yeah my piano arrangements can get a little crazy and somewhat unplayable. Most of my preludes and etudes are for supervirutosos... I redid a Chopin Etude into octaves for both hands... Op 25. No. 2...

Wow at the Void cover O.O
It actually sounds really good in piano format. Good job :)
-
dam these are good. keep at it they sound awesome :D. And playable music would be nice i want to learn how to play piano and these would be awesome to practice on :D

Making a (playable) solo arrangement of It's the End of Agony.
Not finished yet, but here's what I have so far
(I'm not sure that second chord is correct)

This piece was composed in G sharp minor, so that means 5 sharps, and some double sharps. (Blame DJ Omnimaga for that one :P)
If you don't like that, I'll probably also have sheet music transposed to G minor or something.
Btw, anybody know of some better piano soundfonts?
-
I finally got around listening to void and it is pretty awesome O.O
-
I'm really sorry I'm not currently contributing: I have a LOT of piano to focus on and study on my own, and school is keeping me super busy. In between, I write my own unplayable remix :)
-
The It's the end of agony one sounds really good too :D. Can't wait for the final versions :D
-
I tried this on my guitar yesterday: the triple notes bottom right hand on Void plays pretty well.
If you try this on a real instrument, you don't have to be 2 persons on the same piano, what could be nice is that you could use 2 different instruments, such as a guitar/piano or even a violin/piano duo.

Actually it would have to be 2 separate pianos
It is pretty much impossible for that to be played on one piano :P
-
Yay, I'm doing stuff on omni still!
Here's how It's the End of Agony is coming along.
About 4 minutes of it is done, but it's a long piece.

The left hand gets pretty fun once you hit the main melodies:

(and yeah, I'm using double sharps :P)
EDIT: A couple nasty wrong notes in the last 15 seconds, dunno how that happened
-
Oh wow I always wanted this song done, because it was amazing how it turned out. The new result is nice :D
-
That was pretty awesome, great job :D
-
Indeed it sounds really good./me likes it :)
-
Very nice sound :)

Nice! You'll release the .mids too?
