The Game that we Lost
Another electronic power metal song and my longest so far. I got a lot of inspiration from Sonata Arctica and the song is similar in style to Tales of the Knight of the Moon.

EDIT I have no clue why it doesn't add the description automatically in the post but it does for other people... ???

I like it ^^ I can see the similarities in style to the Knight Song.

Pretty epic way to lose :P
The song is also rather epic, keep up the good job :)

Thanks. I didn't realize this song would end up this long, I thought Xaminaga would, but finally I guess it's this one that did. Probably because between verses and choruses there are two or three parts, like most DragonForce songs and the solo part is quite long.
By the way here is a Youtube video for guests
I had most song parts in my head for 6-8 months I think, although it's mainly inspired by the two following Sonata Arctica songs:

I second that post lol

Absolutely love this song. It helped me with my most recent coding spree.

Listening to it right now:
O.O
I'm going to have this tune stuck in my head for a while :D :P

*bump* just listened to this, I have to say, wow, it's very cool, especially at 1:23, with the syncopated bass and drums, it was pretty awesome.
-
Thanks, glad you like it :D

The title definitely suits the song to some degree and I'd have to rate it somewhere in my top ten best DJ_O songs! The melody is expressed in several great variations throughout the song, there is also suspense before the main melody appears for the first time and I like that.
Also broken link with the 320k version above.

Actually I tried to make the title so it makes people lose The Game to be honest. :P

Well lol this is of course a broken link now as it is part of the album selling on Bandcamp!
But yeah, a special title for a special song, that not many can hope to make people lose the Game :P.

Wow, I just noticed that DJ_O's songs really motivate me while coding!
Thanks a lot, DJ...

Good Idea Chockosta!
I've used DJ_O's music for other purposes but not for coding yet :D
Also do you have all of his songs? (besides TotKotM album songs)
I have a list of them here:
http://ourl.ca/13482
Also you can listen to the full songs of TotKotM on Youtube and Bandcamp and on radio.omnimaga.org (and also 57o9)
-
Thanks for your link!
It seems that there are several hours of music :O
-
True. There are 110 original songs I think (including TotKotM), 10 Mashups and 12 Cover songs.
They can be downloaded at dj.omnimaga.org, however most of the album art and other info, and filenames are all messed up. I am hoping to create a download with all the correct information, but haven't gotten around to making it yet.
-
Yeah I think there are about 5-6 hours of music approximately. Keep in mind that several of the electronic songs, especially the ones made after 2008, are remixes and covers of my older work too, even though they're in the original songs category (the cover category is only for covers of other ppl music).

Lots of older people too.
