1. To update, you need connection to a computer via USB - and it (should) always ask you to update!
2. Search fot the OS you were running before upgrading. Then install it like you would install an update, too. (sending via usb as an update)
3. i the Home screen, chose "FILES" or whatever (I'm from germany - my TI is on german) and then go down until you find the game you were looking for!
chose the file and press enter! :)
(ndless is no game - it's needed for games, like nDoom)
Any other problems left? ;D
EDIT: To my answer on question 2: It's the second item by top on the right side ;)

im learning German :D
Guten Tag.
sorry but you answered the two questions that is not my major problem.
my major problem is HOW to DOWNgrade (not Up) my TI Nspire from OS 3.2 TO 3.1 :) thanks
-
Downgrade the same way you would upgrade. Just send the OS 3.1.0.392 to your calc :)
And yes, upgrading back would be possible afterwards.

im sorry im a complete noob and idiot in this TI Thingy.....how do i send it to my calc? :P i have the 3.1 file already but how do i send it to my calc...i know i have to send it through the student version on the computer but....how....i tried simply dragging it into a random box but it says it doesnt support...please help thanks :)

Download, install and launchTI-Nspire Computer Link (http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=440&play=) while your calc is connected to the PC. It is a lot easier to use. Then, drag and drop the OS file to your calc, at the bottom of the window.
-
just discovered another problem.....i found out how to send it...i think its through install handheld os file? but then i select my option and it doesnt let me click it....
-
btw. im using a mac.....with student software 3.2 ....is there some way i can get 3.1....cant find them on the net
-
You'll find the OS you want here (http://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_list.php?id=OS+Nspire) :)

No problem about the computer software, you will still be able to install 3.1 on your calc.
-
Question, can a TI-Nspire that came with OS 3.2 pre-installed be downgraded at all? I know if you had an older OS and you downgrade to 3.1 it will work fine, but I wonder if TI installed an anti-downgrade protection in newer calcs that already have 3.2 on them? Has it been tested yet? If our new member try to send 3.1 to his calc and it doesn't work even after following instructions by members, could that be the problem?
-
What I'm wondering is are there nspires sold yet that come with 3.2 installed? I got my CX in June and it had 3.0 on it.

Renamed your topic to make it more clear what you need help with. It's a lot easier for people to know whether they can help if the topic title describes the problem.
-
On a semi-offtopic note, but still related to Deep Thought's post, it would be a good idea in the future to not follow example on the previous two Ndless topics and avoid writting your topic titles in all-caps. With the new posts section and the many morning/afternoon Ndless users around, they'll see it regardless anyway. ;)
@Darl it probably depends where you got it. Some retail stores rarely renew their stock while others will.
-
i cant use it....im using the TI Nspire Computer Link software....but when i try to drag 3.1 to the box below, it doesnt work. i press install OS and it doesnt show the file. shows everything else. :P
-
it also says: One or more unsupported files were encountered. Only supported files were transferred.

OMG IT WORKEDDDD AHHH FINALLY :) THANKS GUYS this is the BEST forum
-
maybe because computer link software is outdated?
-
kbsteven24, a little hint: Not everyone is a fan of double-posting!
It'd be nice if you'f edit your old posts instead of alwways posting new ones! ;)

Just thinking about something, on the CX CAS if you hold down DOC, enter, and EE you will get to the multiboot menu. Can you just delete the OS there and then use the software to "save to ti nspire" drag the 3.1 OS over, and voila?
-
no.

I would think so.
no.
Why not?
-
well it would work (you don't even need to deleted the OS first, but sure, that will make it "even more work".)
-> because 3.2 doesn't raise the min. os version to 3.2 (3.1 is allowed)

Oh. I thought he said if it was possible to put CAS OS to non-CAS cx.
-
That was possible though, with ndless 2.0, right?
-
Nope.
