Title: Video of nDOOM running on a real calc (Re-uploaded!)
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on February 16, 2011, 08:49:30 pm: Here's nDOOM running on a real calculator. However, since the game freezes after running for 30 seconds, I couldn't record much of it. :(

EDIT: Sorry, video quality came out terribly bad. Reuploaded it.

Must be unique to the Clickpad, as I haven't had any problems whatsoever, even with constant loading and saving, for 10+ minutes of uninterrupted gameplay, on both 2.0.1 and 2.1 (as an aside, I have found lowering the contrast from the default helps immensely with visibility).

However, I noticed you're using the "cut-down" WAD. Before I start analyzing the problem, could you try using the standard 4MB one? There might be some mysterious data corruption issue related to that (since the "crash" seems to be the screen turning black, and not the classic "freeze" one would expect).
Also, the files don't have to be in the root folder any longer, so there shouldn't be a problem on 1.7.

Oh, and thanks for taking the time to put this up!

Post by: DJ Omnimaga on February 18, 2011, 09:22:50 pm: Oh, I installed the nspire_WAD because I thought it was the most compatible file, noticing it had nspire in the file name, unlike the other. I'll have to try the other file later.

Also the crash effects were random: Sometimes the screen turned black, sometimes graphics got distorted diagonally and screen froze and other times everything just froze. It seemed to only happen in rooms with enemies.

Yes, there is even a counter strike wad with some maps, working on nspire. is awesome!
