Yes, unlike the TI-Nspire, Casio Prizm BASIC has a GetKey function!
I stopped caring about my post count a long time ago (at around 350-400 posts), but it probably seems differently to you guys because I like staying so active. I try to get at least 20 posts a day. with some exceptions of course -- some days I'll get >50, others <2.If you mean advertising on other websites, no, because I feel this isn't very nice for those site communities when they try hard to remain active as well. This can also tarnish our reputation as well or worse: bring us some trolls retaliating against the advertising. (which I saw happening before) The only time where we did such thing was when another TI forum went through a drastic increase in hostility towards TI-BASIC projects and newbies (JFGI/RTFM comments), putting those users at risk of leaving the entire community if they knew no other site that did not have such problem. As a result, Omni was suggested to them as an effort to save the community. That was back in early 2009. I think this happened with Cemetech too, once, but if I remember, that was when they added the Freebuild forums, which resulted in a troll fest (thanks to Kllrnohj, Nikky, Elfprince and a few others for containing them inside the FB sections).
Omnimaga is getting a lot more attention now, maybe we should start a secret campaign to get people to join AND stay moderately active.
I'm guessing omnimaga used to be much less active, like UTI at one point. It was mostly on-par with UTI for the most part, but only like 30 Omni members had above 100 posts including staff. Afterward we went down for half a year and reopened. UTI's current activity seems worse than how it was in Early 2005, when they had that server problem and a member trolling.

Just imagine of ticalc.org had a forum, it would be huge :P
yeah I've looked at that before, the other one confused me ^-^
So while other forums have dies, omnimaga has started picking up steam?
if it had true forums, they would be overloaded with newbies in BASIC trying to learn how to use strings. Cuz that's 80% of ticalc.org's population. That was kind of like me for a bit, before I found TIBD.
so 2008 was a devastating year... what happened?I believe that people said that everything had been accomplished for the 83+ series and any new idea was deemed "impossible". This is just from hearing people talk about it; I came in May 2009, so I'm not your best source. :)

Yeah, I came in ... May 2009 ... as well, but from what I've heard it was a pretty rough year. It was just after Cemetech's Jatol incident, Omnimaga was down for a few months, the community was pretty quiet, without many new releases of anything. Basically, we kinda died, and now we're back.
This is VERY VERY VERY out of date. That's from late May I think <.<. I should post an update of this, including the smaller boards I did not include above.I'm guessing omnimaga used to be much less active, like UTI at one point.
Ah, found it!

^ This. Hopefully TI-BD continues picking up as well. As for UTI/MaxCoderz/TI-FW I think right now the issue is that they don't have enough active staff and projects in the works. Revsoft might have chances to revive now that they got new staff. I don't know about the others...yeah I've looked at that before, the other one confused me ^-^

No, Cemetech's definitely reviving too :) Unfortunately some forums still have really low activity, and they've never really recovered from the lulls of 2008.
so 2008 was a devastating year... what happened? It seemed like most people were not ambitious enough on new ideas. Whenever someone had a funky idea à-la-calc84maniac, it would be put down by others who would say it's impossible and to not bother. There was also a drastic increase in trolling in overall, Omni died to it, Cemetech had major hosting issues and Ticalc.org staff were less and less active. That combined caused a loss of interest in overall and many people left due to drama or lack of new stuff.
Looking at October...wowYeah I was kinda shocked by October, because normally we should have gotten between 4000 and 8000 posts, since it's supposed to be much less active than September. (Especially that this year we also had a hosting move)
Looks on the rise to me ;D
you mean october? ???I didn't get one. ???
anyway, DJ, did you get that Axe update news from Quigibo? /me is excited ;D
