Omnimaga forums have reached different milestones recently and also broke records again. Since Holidays ended, we started to average above 100 different member logins per day again, like we did at the beginning of the school year. Tonight we have hit the 110+ mark: A total of 114 registered forum members logged in today! It is also typical during dinner time to see about 30 logged in members in 30 minutes now. In addition to that, this incarnation of Omnimaga has reached the 110000 posts milestone. This means that over 165000 messages were posted including the previous site on Invisionfree.

In addition to that, as you can see on the front page, at the bottom of the board index (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=forum) or in the board statistics (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=stats) page, we are now past the 700 members mark, excluding spambots, and we broke the monthly posting record for a January month, meaning that for the past 12 months we have broken a month-specific record everytime. The previous record for January was set in 2006 with 4025 messages. In addition to that, today sets a new record for forum page views, with over 50000. The previous record was set on July 12th 2010, with 31502 page hits. This bumps this month daily average above 25K!
Besides records and milestones, we also did some minor forum updates recently. In the previous news (http://ourl.ca/8799) we announced the return of an ancient skin, but we also fixed some errors, such as a typo in one of the SMF mod we have installed and replacing the "Respect" word with "Total Posts Ratings", as it was misleading. In the future we plan to do some more updates, depending of what free time we get.
Also, several member (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=5.0) and (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=58.0) staff (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=12.0) projects are still being worked on actively, Raylin Cage Matches (http://ourl.ca/7074) are still going on and Casio Prizm hacking talk (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=146.0) is still continuing. We hope to see you on the forums and if you are not a member, don't hesitate to join (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=register) and participate if you want to, regardless of if you are new to the calculator scene or experienced!
UPDATE: Finally it was 115 logins. Someone registered at 11:59:14 PM. Let's welcome our new member "i am a troll"! (Er...?)

I noticed this person as well... *fingers twitch towards banhammer*
-
The weird part is that a few nights ago the same e-mail was used to sign up another account, but the anti-spam had the IP (which was different) blacklisted, so it got mistaken as a bot.

yay, new milestones, but more barriers to break next month. If this keeps up...
/me is too excited to finish :D
But yeah, that I am a troll person sounds suspicious, I bet $50 he/she/it won't post more than 5 posts.

Nice 1158 private messages?
Wish I was that popular xD
-
I'M glad I don't get as many anymore, though. I used to get 10 a day. X.x

And they won't be in any calculator-related discussion

Maybe people who start school, get calculators and join these forums for help or something.
Noice to see Omnimaga breaking more records! Go Omnimaga!

Nice! Lots of News Articles lately... I'm gonna bet "im a troll
" will either be a spambot or a very productive contributer. ;)

This would actually be funny if he was a great contributor. On MaxCoderz someone had the nickname "ISUCK" and despite not having done a lot of BASIC programming he still contributed a lot to discussions and was helpful. On United-TI a member is called Newbie, yet he's pretty much a veteran there.
I noticed a lot of people joined actually. Seems like when school starts or during Christmas, people get their calc and join to get help or learn programming, and when school ends in June, even more people join due to more free time to code.
