there will be no computer section :(Are you sure about that? Is there any way you could have a computer section?
Well, since yeong is the one sponsoring the reward and judging, I don't think that's a very viable possibility ;)there will be no computer section :(Are you sure about that? Is there any way you could have a computer section?
Well the reason that I decided not to include computer section is that cemetech contest 9 is starting soon. :) and the lack of funding. I'm pretty sure that ceme contest will have a computer section, so I decided not to bother with it.
Categories: (1) z80 calculators (ASM, Axe, and BASIC judged and weighted together), (2) Casio calculators (fx9860g and Prizm, although we'd probably only get Prizm entries), and (3) computers.

From Kerm's latest post on the Cemetech contest ideas threadQuoteCategories: (1) z80 calculators (ASM, Axe, and BASIC judged and weighted together), (2) Casio calculators (fx9860g and Prizm, although we'd probably only get Prizm entries), and (3) computers.
It does look like there will be a comp section.
I was hoping there would be a computer section for this contest as I was going to compete in both :P
I don't know if I should make people who's participating to make topic or not.Might be a good idea. That will prompt participants to remain active and prevent a drastic activity drop or something like during the 2011 TI-Nspire contest.
I'm just wondering... can I make an entry and enter it in this and the Cemetech contest?
Suggestion for contest rules:
-Any participant that is caught mentioning "computer section" or any derivative in this topic, inside his calc game or in any thread related to this contest is automatically disqualified. :P
That might hopefully stop people from bitching about the lack of a computer section and people from asking if there is a computer category. :P
What is the deadline for creating a topic? Because I'm currently busy om improving my 3D engine. If all goes well, I might be able to still create a project for the contest after that, maybe even with 3D, who knows? (assuming that would count as a library because the 3D engine project started a long time before this contest).Just as long as you at least post some updates on your project at one point around December like Yeong said. That is to prevent a repeat of the 2011 TI-Nspire contest, where every participants vanished from Omnimaga entirely during the entire duration of the contest, making things sound like nobody was participating. This is also of course to encourage people to remain active even during the contest.
Hmm, perhaps I should try to make an entry, just to ease back into calc programming, since it's been a while since I've done anything serious.this goes for me too D: Maybe something in Basic. :-\
Is it possible to have a team working on the project? I have never done an RPG before, and I'll need help...I'M unsure, but if it works like the actual Omnimaga contests during Summer, team projects only get points for the stuff the main author worked on. For example, if you didn't make a single sprite, then this might affect originality. However, if teams are allowed, then maybe the main issue might be prize distribution, and Yeong might stop holding responsible for whatever happens with the prize after it's distributed and you actually received it (eg if you don't or can't give anything to your teamate)
Plus, my parents would start asking me questions about the contest, and I don't want that mess...If the prize is digital (electronic gift card or paypal prize), would it be fine? Or do they monitor your entire internet activity click by click?
And I would join this contest... but I forgot most of Axe and I just started asmI'd say, go into the contest:
Soooo... anyone want to be on mai team?
We can do C on z80 calcs !? :w00t:
You can (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/380/38061.html), but the programs created are larger and slower than with Axe.is there also a linux utility?
Devices: TI-83+/84+
Funny as it is, I'm making an apocalypse right now, with no intentions of this at all, AND it's in Axe.
Apparently I am going to be visiting family earlier than planned and longer than planned, so I may not have internet until December 30th, after this Monday XD It looks like I have this weekend to finish up x.x I'll submit whatever I have on Monday, even if it isn't done.Too bad you can't do it in time :(
Just send one from your computer...
And if it's something that's wrong with validating OS (did you buy calc after august 2011?)
The use one of the penguins tools to be able to send any os you want

Idk which one it is, just read the descriptions...
MP and assembly are bad together. That is not even it. MP doesn't need assembly to be bad, it is bad alone.
So 2.53 = bad.
2.43 = good?
