Title: 2012 Cemetech contest results announced
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on February 22, 2012, 02:41:32 pm
The results for the Cemetech Programming Contest #8 has been announced, after work and work of judging by the judges, who were buried under school work and other duties. 13 entries in total finally made it, 7 of which were in the TI-83 Plus category, 3 in the PRIZM one and 3 more in the computer category.

More information can be found here (http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7487).

Congrats to Leafiness0, who won the TI-83 Plus prize with his game My First Quantum Translocator, Buttsfredkin, for winning the second place with Futility, Purobaz for winning the first place in the PRIZM category with Free Wheel, Ashbad for his second place with Raptor and finally HOMER-16 and Souvik1997 for their respective first and second place for the computer category!

A lot of work was spent on each of those entry and they all look pretty great to play. We encourage all contestants to publish their entry in the Cemetech archives (http://www.cemetech.net/programs/index.php) so they are available for download to everyone and in one place. We also encourage Omni members who participated to the calculator categories to put an extra copy or a link in our downloads section (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;cat=44) as well, and for all participants other archives as well for extra visibility!

I wish Omni had a computer section in the downloads section so I could upload System Crash there. :)

I can't wait until the next Contest. :D

HOMER-16 you can actually post a topic or reply about it in the computer projects section (depending of if you have one or not) and attach the game to the post. That works too. Of course make sure you got screenshots, though.

I already have a topic there with a link to a download. Unfortunately I believe there is a size limit to the upload and the zip file is about 10 MB.

May I ask why a part of my post was removed in the news article, specifically where I suggest every participant to upload their entry to Cemetech/Omni/ticalc archives so people can give them a try?

EDIT: Nvm this was solved (see other thread). Apparently someone accidentally the bottom of the post.
