As of Thursday around 7PM EST, the post counter now reports over 300000 posts since May 12th, 2005. 7 years of interesting talk, awesome calculator projects, music and other miscellaneous stuff since Omnimaga Invisionfree days, this is worth celebrating.
This means that Omnimaga becomes the first English calculator board to accomplish that feat and only the second overall calculator site to do so, behind yAronet's 68K board.
On behalf of the Omnimaga team, I would like to thank everyone over the years for posting such awesome calculator stuff and supported us, the staff for keeping order in order to make this forum a friendly place and DJ_O for founding this cool community that knew how to keep rocking for so long no matter what.
Let the awesome continue even more!

yay. celebration.
there will be much rejoicing.
yaaaaaay.
-
Congrats to all! Long live Omnimaga! :)
-
Yay! :D
-
Woohoo party !!! :p
-
We set a world record! :P
-
*yay*
We need to post more :P
Oh, and do to these posts count the spam-topic posts? xD
-
i think not.
-
No they don't, else we would have 2.000.000 :p or so xD
-
Come to think of it, DJ has more than 10% of the total posts O_O
-
What the **** o.O that's very much
-
O.o
How is that possible!?!?!?!
-
No they don't, else we would have 2.000.000 :p or so xD
If that were the case, then the spam-topic would be closed.

They do, but on the other hand, about 100000+ posts on yAronet 68K forums, out of their 310000, are flame wars between a certain 68K coder some older members know very well and the rest of their community. :P Without spam we still hit over 250K
Also thanks to all contributors :D

Nearly 17% actually. He sure posted a lot.
-
Wow, indeed, that's almost unbelievable
-
I'm only 2.8% ... miserable :P
But yay, another milestone! (And milestone for me too, at 7000 posts :D)[/narcisso]
-
Haha, i have +- 0.02 % :p
-
well at least im in top 10
EDIT: 1+%!
-
I think I got 17% or 20%, but that total is probably inflated due to the merge with the old board in February, where I had like 25% of the entire board count including spam. Also back in 2010 I averaged around 1500-2500 posts a month.
-
Wow, that's nice
But you're one of the "admins"? I think...
-
I used to, but I quit around July 2011 (actually I gradually left since by May last year I had fewer powers already). I returned as news editor recently, although I'm kinda on half-break now.
-
Ah ok, now in get it, before i registered to this site i had to use my beother's cellphone and saw your name a lot :P
-
Yeah I used to be active back in the days, but then health issues and other problems caught up. X.x
-
Yeah, i had the same problem but not as bad as yors, cause i'm not having healt issues

As of Yesterday (or maybe two days ago), Omnimaga now has the highest amount of posts of any existing calculator forum, even the yAronet 68K board. May the 300K milestone that was broken a few months ago not be the last. (like what happened to too many boards after a 100K post chunk milestone).
Also if Omni ever hits 500K, Netham45 will be eligible for Big Forum Operator membership on Simplemachines support board (with access to an extra section on their site), and be able to submit his site there (http://www.big-boards.com/).

Now that would be quite something. :D
Hopefully we can hit that milestone soon without becoming spammy with our posts.
-
That would be pretty epic! And do we also have more posts than cemetech and uti combined? O.o
-
Nope but pretty close (although they don't count really since both databases are kinda separate rather than merged)
-
Oh, I see, still pretty epic!
Maybe more people would also come then to omnimaga if it is listed there :D
-
Yeah. It would definitively depend if they allow descriptions, though, otherwise people won't have any clue what Omnimaga is lol.
Also I think Omnimaga meta tags (on every theme) should prbly be updated because IIRC they're still tags from 2008 and having better tags rather than like 40 might help our Google ranking.
-
That's pretty cool! All we need is 5 more DJ_Os and we will be at 500000 :D
