Title: A 3rd admin and update for Coders Of Tomorrow's permissions
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on June 28, 2009, 12:54:52 am
After Simplethinker last night, {AP} joins our admins ranks too. Also, due to recent events on another unrelated but close website and potential threats from certain members, judging by their behaviour in the past two days, and due to a recent spambot comeback, the entire Omnimaga staff got granted banning (and unbanning) powers, like on the old temporary board in 2008. This will make it much quicker to deal with troublesome users and automated account registrations, especially during the Summer, where most of our staff and admins will have sporadic activity.

They can ban directly from user profiles or from the new "ADMIN" link in the navigation bar below the banner between the "RULES" and "PROFILE" link.

As for administrators, they have the ability to edit forum categories, forum settings, delete user accounts (allowing them to delete all their posts/topics in 1 click too), other stuff and everything regular staff can do.

Thanks for the promotion! ^^
Simplethinker and I won't let you down.

Also, congratulations on the new powers, Coders of Tomorrow. Don't abuse them. I'll be watching. ;P

(P.S. Yes, I'll be a lot more active in one form or another now. Sorry about the inactivity up until this point... life has a way of sneaking up on you.)

I believe you go into the person's profile and under "actions" there should be a "Ban this user" option.

Oh, don't worry, I don't have anything with the name Zune or Ipod on it, simply because for $100 cheaper I can usually get a mp3 player with the exact same capacity and I don't really need all the goodies a Ipod includes. Even then, there was a time where you could get something with as many features for $30. Basically, when buying a Ipod, you just paid for the name like when buying Nike, Addidas and Reebok shoes.

As for Zune, If I bought one I would sure get laughed at for the following reason
