We have decided to promote Hayleia's Super Smash Brother Open project to it's own board under Major Community projects! Be sure to support and encourage him on this amazing project. Congrats Hayleia and keep up the good work!

With this promotion will start a small set of changes to the Major Project boards. Slowly they will be cleaned up and have project owners assigned as moderators and all that fun stuff. Progress is slowly being made!

Well, congrats! Been a while new boards in Major Community Projects happened.

Its going to get a clean up soon. Going to move the definitively dead projects out and stuff. Slowly working on cleaning everything up. But motivation has been tough

Yay! It has been a while indeed. I was wondering if there was ever going to be another Major Community Project sub-forum addition since my retirement in 2011. But this particular game and the fact it's still in the works truly deserves it :)

Actually Deep Thought did some cleanup last month, but he only moved dead projects that were from demoted staff, not dead projects from people who are still staff. It might be a good move to repopulate the stafff project section with new ones and remove the dead ones so that it's less cluttered and give more visibility to active ones. :P

But motivation has been tough
I know right.

Congrats Hayleia :D
By the way, why is KnightOS still in the "Discontinued projects" section ? It's everything but discontinued.

While I totally agree with you that it's pretty active, it doesn't really live on Omni anymore and it only gets a post from the team members every once in a while. <_<
-
The discontinued sub-forum also includes active project sub-forums where it becomes clear that the author will never use Omni again. This is the same reason why the nDoom sub-forum was moved to discontinued projects. Of course, some people who contribute to the project now cross-post updates, so if you or others can convince geekboy or other admins that you plan to cross-post updates for the long term, then you could submit a request for re-addition to Geekboy or at http://ourl.ca/request .
-
Yeah I already cross posted some stuff but since I'm not in the main development I don't really follow what happens as much, plus it's more core stuff than user level stuff.
Anyway congratulations Hayleia, I'm looking forward to your game (even though I haven't been able to follow development :/).
-
Another issue is that those who are mainly just fans of KnightOS can't really cross-post stuff if they have absolutely no clue what it is about, such as all the technical ASM stuff. Also, the average user will not be interested by core stuff or boot screens since it does "nothing" to their eyes. What will get their attention are demos of Axe KOS, a built-in programming editor, working apps and such visible stuff, even though that stuff might not necessarily be as big in terms of achievement as the internal OS updates themselves.
-
Wow, I wasn't expecting that since I didn't fill any form O.O
Thanks to the admins for the subforum and the news, and thanks everyone for the support :D
-
Its been a pending verbal request and all that :P and it was time to start making progress on keeping things upto date again! Your welcome!
-
Congrats Hayleia! Quite well deserved! ;D
-
Congrats, Hayleia! This is a really awesome project, and I hope we see much more of it!

Thanks both of you ^^
