Title: A third set of three
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on June 06, 2011, 04:30:30 pm
There are some new Lua programs that just came out and another that came out a few months ago.

First of all, there is a clone of Space Invaders that Chockosta has been working on and is available for download here (http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=3560).

Secondly, there's another clone of Conway's Game of Life now available (http://ti.bank.free.fr/index.php?mod=archives&ac=voir&id=3563), this time for the TI-Nspire. Given that Lua is slower than ASM and C, this version is quite impressive.

And finally, a few months ago, Adriweb also made a Basket Ball game (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=661) where you must aim correctly at the basket.

More projects are currently in the works, such as a Lua port of the popular Puzzpack game Pegs and a Tower of Hanoi clone. Somebody is also working on a tilemapper. Hopefully more will come as Lua gets documented (http://inspired-lua.org) more and more. Make sure to check forum projects (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=4) to not miss anything!

Awesome! All look fun! How can I make OS 3.0.1 safe for my Nspire?

Download TNOC from TI-BANK (available through several Omni news articles), run OS 3.0.1 through it then you can install it on your calc. Make sure the calc runs OS 1.7, 2.0.0, 2.0.1 or 2.1.0 prior upgrading, though.

I think this version should be posted on ticalc.org if not already. It would be very helpful for people who don't speak french.
