Good news for those stuck with a TI-Nspire with OS 3.2.4, which blocked Ndless 3.1 and any downgrade to OSes supporting it, according to the Ndless blog (http://ndlessly.wordpress.com/2013/09/18/on-the-way-to-ndless-3-2/), ExtendeD annonced having started development on Ndless 3.2 which would support OS 3.2.4. As you might remember, when OS 3.2.0 went out, TI allowed downgrading to OS 3.1 for some reason, which allowed the Ndless development team to focus on new features such as USB support, GDB debugging, nSDL and lots of other goodies. One thing to worry is the release of OS 3.6 which has been announced a while ago and could possibly block Ndless 3.2 soon after it will be released.
If you want to help and if you use OS 3.2.4, please send in bug reports about unexpected and reproducible reboots of the OS as you find them as they could be used for installing Ndless. No release date has been announced yet, but the more you help, the sooner it will be released.
Check the Ndless blog for more info (http://ndlessly.wordpress.com/2013/09/18/on-the-way-to-ndless-3-2/)

Darn that was kinda unexpected, considering the latest version was still for 3.2.4. I wish ExtendeD and other people involved good luck for getting it out on these OSes.
That said, we can't send much bug reports yet since there is no download links :P

WooHoo! One of my friends just got an Nspire CX CAS. He might be able to help. I'll tell him about Omnimaga and Ndless. I could probably help second semester which is starting January of 2014. By then I'll have way more time

WOOP WOOP
edit: amazing, wow cool super awesome great

There is a download link on tiplanet and there is a hidden site on the TI site where you can download it.

Well, it's just http://education.ti.com/nspire/os324
Which points to http://education.ti.com/en/us/software/details/en/EFB4DABDFD064E4483BB5EA298BF0736/ti-nspire-cx-family-oses-v324
It's been put there to help people who bricked their devices, I believe - Nothing very "secret".
-
Yay, great!

Only for the CX, though. Is it just because it's never needed to unbrick older Nspires or do they intend to stop making updates for everything pre-CX?
-
3.2.4 was intended to be a OEM-only OS, probably.

Well, it's because it's only the CXes that can come sold with 3.2.4, since the clickpad/touchpad aren't manufactured anymore :P

Wha, this is pretty awesome, a new upswing for the nspire community :D
-
You definitely shouldn't release anything before OS 3.6 becomes available. Also, the exploit code should be in a binary format and with some obfuscated assembly code added - just to annoy TI.
-
This is awesome. Good luck :D
-
I'm so happy 3.2.4 is being exploited, best of luck to them doing it :)
-
So to clear things up... Does this mean that a 3.2.4 exploit has been found?
-
Does this mean that a 3.2.4 exploit has been found?
The Ndlessly announcement does not say so... and anything of that kind is very unlikely to be announced until some time after the release of OS 3.6, in case it has the same exploitable hole(s).

That's exciting news! Unfortunate that non-CX calculators don't have a v3.2.4 OS update. If they are really stopping updates for non-CX TI-nspires then I guess we are back on Ndless 3.1.
-
I emailed a TI representative about a 3.2.4 for non-CX calcs, and it appears as if it is just for temporary blocking of nlaunch, and they are probably going to release a 3.6 for the B/W models.
-
I seriously doubt that they'll stop updating old Nspire models. If they do, then they'll probably insist so that schools ban them, just so as few school users as possible use Ndless.
