Title: Axe Parser Subforum split
Post by: squidgetx on February 11, 2011, 11:57:31 pm
The Axe Parser subforum has been split into two parts: the Axe Project forum and the Axe Language forum. This is to help separate the Axe project discussion from tutorials and other language help/support as the original forum was becoming rather crowded. Now, language help and tutorials can go in the newly created Axe Language (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=162.0) board, while project disucssion will continue in the original Axe parser subforum. Hopefully this will help to organize things a bit better, and apologies for any inconvenience. :)

Wow, that's pretty cool, looks like it'll prove useful ;D
An idea though.  Maybe it can highlight more which subforum you're in? maybe it can be bolded/underlined or something.

That subforum is huge with some much things related to Axe Parser that it had to be split sometime for the best of admins and users...

And the "original Axe Parser subforum" is now back in Major Community Projects. Just a reminder :)

Yeah, and the Axe Language board (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=162.0) still has 6 pages O.O Axe is huge.

Indeed. It is over twice larger than the TI-BASIC help section, which has discussion as far as 2008. Axe definitively got pretty popular and ASM has somewhat picked up in popularity too.

Good initiative too. I was planning to split them eventually. That must have taken ages to sort topics, though. X.x

Actually there's a bar at the top where you can navigate between both boards now. The sub-forum you're in is simply not a link, while the other one is.

That's what I was talking about...a minor color difference sometimes takes a bit longer to tell than the simple, one-glance distinction of most of the site.
I guess it's fine the way it is, though.

An idea: What about bolding the current section in that little box and leaving the other one unbolded? Same could apply to http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=5 (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=ezportal;sa=page;p=5), to keep everything consistent.

I was really surprised when I got to the forums and saw it was split! xD It looks OK, though ;D

That could maybe work, I guess, although I'm not sure if it would look good.

Or it can be made like 5pts bigger or something

That would stick out...

Yeah, although I think it might look a bit weird.
