Title: Cage Match #5 begins
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on January 18, 2011, 08:37:25 pm
Cage Match #5 has begun last night. Unlike the previous matches, where you had to PM Raylin to be eligible for a participation spot, the 5th contest allows anyone to enter on their own will. Here are the rules below:
Quote
Rules:

*This must be for the TI-83+.
*There cannot be a shred of Hybrid BASIC.
*No Axe subroutines.
*No ASM (unless it is on this page (http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/hexcodes)). Yes, I know that there is a loophole there.
*No late entries.
*No exceptions. At all.
*Submit to Raylin. E-mail address can be found here (http://ourl.ca/7074/164415).

More information can be found in the main Cage Match topic (http://ourl.ca/7074/164415).

Good luck to all participants!

In addition to that, we have added a Contest sub-forum on the board, below our projects and above the feedback one. This should make it easier to find future Omnimaga contest. The new sub-forum can be found here (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=150.0). Eventually, the winners and past results will all be posted in the awards section of the site.

/me can't wait to see how this turns out

30 days, pure BASIC... Some pretty awesome games are gonna come out of this.

Seems to be missing a link to the page (it's here (http://tibasicdev.wikidot.com/hexcodes), by the way).

EDIT: Seems to be missing from this post (http://ourl.ca/7074/164415), too. Doesn't really matter though, since it's in the original post.

I'm in this match, and I can only begin to imagine how fierce the competition will be entry-wise.
Of course, I have to win this one. Mainly for that reason.

I dunno, I've got something coming up myself :P

If I have lots of time leftover, then I might even make it dual-layer graphics! :) right now it's all homescreen except the title pic :P but at least the movement engine is done, and better than I've ever done before thanks to my newfound knowledge of while, for and repeat loops. Still have to get rid of the Domain errors when you go to the screen edges though :(

Good luck guys! Also make sure to backup often, even if you only use pure BASIC. :P I can't wait to see what people will come up with. :)

Mr. happy face is demented :P

I've long forgotten BASIC in favor of axe, so I don't think I'll be in this one.
Wait, I haven't even been in any...I don't code very well under pressure :P
