Title: Casio PRIZM released a bit too early?
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on January 16, 2011, 09:43:32 pm: It seems that Casio either skipped or rushed the beta-testing phase of the fx-cg10 operating system. Although Casio's new calculator features an Output-like command (which the TI-Nspire still lacks), it doesn't work well when special characters are being displayed. As the following video demonstrates, characters will appear at the wrong location, not appear at all or colors will not be the right ones:

We encourage you to contact Casio if you encounter this bug, so hopefully they resolve it. So far, no crashes-inducing bug seems to have been found, though, unless this new OS still contains some from the older models.

Maybe. I think it would be good if we made a topic asking what OS version everyone got so far, to see. That reminds me, are there any downloadable OSes available anywhere? ???

Yeah it seems quite fast. I would have to check with collision detection, though.

On a side note, getkey has quick key repeat mode, kinda like direct input, except no multi-keypresses

I haven't found any, and I don't think anyone else has either. OS files would be extremely useful for the Prizm hacking.

At least, with the NSpire we have them :D
