Title: CGPN: March 2011 newsletter available
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on April 03, 2011, 02:19:02 am
The March 2011 edition of the Calculator Game Programming Newsletter has been released!

(http://www.omnimaga.org/newsletter/cgpnlogo.png) (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=31)

Those who have notifications from admins enabled should be receiving it in their e-mail inbox shortly, if not already, and is also available in the newsletter section here (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=31). An admin with site access will be in charge of uploading the HTML and plain-text versions of the CGPN tomorrow. They will be available here (http://www.omnimaga.org/newsletter/mar11.html) and here (http://www.omnimaga.org/newsletter/mar11.txt), respectively.

Due to the planning of the April Fools joke and most of the team being busy with life or, earlier this month, forum and IRC stuff, this version of the newsletter was kinda rushed to be out in time, so our apologies in advance if some of the articles are short.

As a reminder, notifications can be enabled or disabled via your forum profile (Profile->Notifications and Email->Check/Uncheck "Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email").

Enjoy!

This is great. The first thing that came to mind when I saw this article: Has it already been a month?
It looks great. I wanna say thank you to all who contribiuted to this great newsletter.
Congratulations to all who's in it.
I saw Jim and I were also mentioned, thanks for that. For those who might think that I stopped with myst 89, I am not. I didn't have so much time these last days. But when I get on my calc I'll be busy on it. ;)

Glad to hear you like it. And yeah all programs that made front page news gets listed at the top too (excluding the Casio Prizm quadratic solver, of course :P), so your game was there and you were also mentionned later too.

I'm glad Myst is still alive. Unfortunately I didn't have time to check new posts lately so it might take a long while before I go in the topic again. :(

Well, Myst 89 didn't reach the front news so it was not listed there. I didn't expect it to do because it wasn't done yet.
Blockbreaker got in to the front news, and so they mentioned it, and also myst 89. So actually I wasn't even in the front news, but somehow got in the newsletter. Thanks. :D

Will someone write an article about OS 2.71 for next month? :P

Thanks, and nope, since this was fake anyway :P. I could do a reference to it about OS 3.0, tho, as a reminder that 2.71MP was fake, since it seems people who frequents the site less often seems to have fallen for it. X.x
