Title: Cubes!
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on March 10, 2011, 09:53:48 pm
A week ago, JustCause released the 2nd build for his game called Cubes. Although it is in demo stages, it includes a quite large amount of levels, which gets more and more challenging as the game progress, and could pretty much be considered as a full game.

Cubes is a sliding puzzle game written in Axe where you must make your way to the exit tile. Each tile in the game can do something special or be unlocked by keys. It features great graphics for this kind of puzzle and grayscale.

You can download the latest version here (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=6340.0;attach=6472) and discuss about the project in its sub-forum (http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?board=156.0).

I am glad that this game made it to the news.  It is a really fun game! :D

I like how it says Netham45.  I wonder if he has anything to do with this project other than being a blue lobster.

This looks realy fun! As for the 'netham45', I think it might have just been added for the fun because it's thé lobster from omnimaga.

Yeah that's what I thought. It was random at first since it was only in one of the first level. I wonder if farther levels hide more? :P

It's actually the third build. I started the count at zero.

And I certainly don't have more references than you can count in my drafts for the pack- in levels...not in the slightest...:P

I can't believe this made News. If you wanted me to finish, DJ, you couldn't have pushed me along better than this. Ego boost +9001!

:P I remember right before DJ moved Graviter to its own subforum, I was about to ditch the project. Talk about motivation xD

Lol, but yeah I actually meant to make a news since the 2nd version posted a while ago, but I got busy I think X.x. I like this game a lot. :D

Now I hope you finish it as well as MQFT. :P

Nice! Reminds me of chip's challenge, but with different tiles. Hope you're going to use rle on those levels, though, or the larger ones will take up a ton of space.
