Title: Deep Thought becomes manager
Post by: DJ Omnimaga on November 08, 2011, 07:36:12 pm: The Omnimaga team is pleased to announce that Deep Thought was promoted to manager, after being part of the Coders of Tomorrow team for about one year. He has been one of the most active contributor to the site over the last year and half and has released a bunch of good games and programs for the TI-83 Plus series too. His promotion brings the managers team to 6 and hopefully this should help the process of removing spambots, as there have been a recent wave of them in the past week or so (about 3 out of the 100 that register everyday usually make it through all our anti-spams).

Congrats to Deep Thought for your addition to the manager team! :thumbsup:

Now that you're manager, you get to fix the calendar plugin on that CMS theme that I keep begging you to fix/improve... :P

Right now there aren't staff positions open per-say, anyone can feel free to apply though at any time, you never know we might just add another member to the team.

What's a spambot? It sounds like something that would prevent spam. But im assuming it doesn't...

Not anymore since what happened with SirCmpwn in August. Old CoT members retained their mod powers, though.

pm the admins with your application. Remember there are qualifications for becoming a CoT.

(That's when most new mods are added.) As Eeems said you're always free to apply (via PM), but it all depends on if Omni needs new people on the team :)

At present, CoT's are moderators. However, since the SirCmpwn incident, we have been looking at separating the mods from the staff, so it's likely that future staff will not be mods.
