EeeZor is back, this time actual episodes are now being pumped out. Instead of doing the live broadcasting EeeZor is now focusing on pre-recording and using it's website to inform you. EeeZor is now in official partnership with Omnimaga. This partnership means that EeeZor will post links to news reported by Omnimaga and gives a link and advertising to it in each video.
Check out the EeeZor site here: http://eeezor.ec3club.tk
EeeZor and Omnimaga are sister organizations, so while they operate independently they also work for the benefit of the other. EeeZor, while it does have comments on it's news articles, no competitive forum will be made, and Omnimaga will post links to the official episodes of EeeZor.
EeeZor will be aired almost every weekend and news articles will be written as often as possible on the official site. If you are interested in joining the team just contact Eeems via PM and he can consider your application.
Enjoy!

Nice! :D
I'll watch it now. :)
-
Wow, awesome, I'll watch it later when I get a chance.
-
Ok thanks guys! Let me know if you see anything that you think I should do differently next time :)
-
Cool, I didn't watch it yet but it seems quite cool and the intro is at reasonable lenght. The only suggestion I would have for episode 2 though is to make sure the video ration is the same as the original. For example if the original is 4:3 the new one should be 4:3 too instead of 16:9, otherwise it looks a bit distorted. Also it would be nice to maybe add a credit roll or The End text at the end, maybe with the intro music or another (shorter) part of the song. Also if you can it might be good to set the resolution lower, if that can increase the framerate.
Otherwise pretty great. :D
-
Erm..didn't know I had issues with distortion, I knew I had missed something....:/
Yeah, I was thinking about adding some credits, but I was running out of patience so I didn't include it this time. Yeah, I will probably set the resolution to the same that I rendered the end product as, it just didn't come to mind when I was recording it.
Thanks :)

Just finished watching. It seems great! :)

Honestly, this seems more like a podcast than a video. It's has good information and is clearly spoken, but there's really no reason for the video at all in it's current form. I don't know, maybe that's what you were going for, but I believe you should definitely give people a reason to actually watch it too. In include screenshots, even of forum posts in the case of news, or other video. Maybe even throw in cheesy special effects and such. If you need inspiration, just watch the news. Headlines, images, video, etc will add a lot to the show. You'll keep more attention on the video and be able to possibly attract people not in the community (yet) more easily.
Regardless, it's not bad. I even learned a few things myself but it could be much better and I know you're capable of it. =)
-
Oh yeah I was thinking about suggesting that too. When you talk about forums, for example, or where to find something, switch to a capture of that forum and stuff, or a screenshot of the program.
-
Yeah, I was intending on including stuff like that, I just didn't have the time or patience to do it today. Next time for sure though :)
Thanks a lot for the constructive criticism {AP} I certainly indent to make it more visually appealing in the future, but this week was a little hard to do that with being sick and all.
Anybody interested in helping me make videos/write articles/work on the site?
-
Actually, I'm sort of interested. Not much of a writer but I can do my best in the other 2 areas. We can talk more in IRC about it. =P
-
I doubt I would have much time, unfortunately. D: Hopefully you can get some help, though. For calc screenshots I could maybe help if you ever need them converted to AVI, though. I know how to make a calc screenshot look great in high res. The avi would probably be compressed, though, but basically the pixels wouldn't be blurry. Take for example the 2010 Tribute video and compare it with 2009.
-
Hmm, that would probably be helpful sometimes :) Thanks for the offer DJ!
-
No problem. Also, on Youtube one of my calc video made that way is 1080p HD. Quite ironic, eh? O.O
-
I just finished watching it, not bad but could use some work. I agree with AP, and was going to suggest screenshots of that nature. Having a screenshot of doors or the signing keys, the ray-caster for Nspire etc..It should be filled mostly with content, and not just you (podcast style). Maybe keep a full script, for a more professional feel to it (not that you did a bad job, but to attract outsiders would be nice).
Good work, I look forward to more. I loved when KV from MaxCoderz had the EZine type site, as I do not always read the Nspire forum or head over to Chem-tech etc.
-
Oh woah now you bring me some memories: CalcWebzine and Solitaire710. Those were epic because they featured plenty of programs including some that ticalc.org wouldn't pick up immediately and they also featured random things like websites. CalcWebzine was for z80 calcs and Solitaire710 68K. Omni kinda does a bit like both now, so you can see news on front page, but a lot of things are posted on forums so it's good to have the Eee Zor thing I guess to talk about some stuff that got missed or give more details on featured stuff.
-
Thanks for the input :) I'm starting to get a clearer image in my head of how I should end up doing things :)
-
/\/\make sure you make that cemetech (KehMehTek) around kerm :P
EDIT: wow, double ninja'd there
it's always a pleasure to hear your voice, eeems.
norly, i liked it. a full, well thought out script would be nice, though, so as to eliminate a few umms.
if you really need help writing script (for speaking, not web design) then i could help out.
two thoughts:
firstly, why no inclusion of CALCnet?!
and secondly, the ending of the video needs to be marked by an
:END
-
Wow didn't realize I was ninja'd :P
Shmibs, awe shucks :P Thanks :)
That sounds great :) I suck at writing speeches :P
I totally forgot about CALCnet x.x I'll include it next week though :)
Either that or some credits :P
-
YEah calcnet and preferably also gCn would be cool.
-
Two .Ends are necessary :D
-
Not anymore actually. Most new assemblers/compilers fixes that. :P
Also you didn't have to put two ends. The last line could be just a linebreak, if I remember.
-
Love the vid! I'll be keeping up with EeeZor as well now.

Going back, that's what I was joking about lol. Sorry for off-topic >.<
Do you have a schedule you are trying to keep, like twice a month or once a week? I know it could vary, since sometimes there aren't many updates..
-
Nice job Eeems. :D
By the way, the OS signing keys were cracked beginning in August 2009. :)
-
Bear in mind that I said most of this news was old ztrumpet :P
Binder News: thanks!
kalan_vod: Yes, I'm trying to keep it to at least an episode a month and at most once every weekend. Preferably once a week though if I can manage it.
