KermMartian has released (http://www.cemetech.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6419) his on-calc Internet browser called Gossamer v1.0, which he posted a video of (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gidjg-ALqM) a few days ago. Along with that, he also released Doors CS 7.2 Beta 2, which fixes some bugs found in the previous version and improves direct-USB gCn connectivity, also enhancing your Gossamer experience in the process.
You can download Gossamer v1.0 (http://www.cemetech.net/programs/index.php?mode=file&path=/83plus/asm/programs/gossamer.zip) and Doors CS7.2 Beta 2 (http://www.cemetech.net/programs/index.php?mode=file&path=/beta/dcs72b2.zip) in Cemetech archives.
Those who had troubles with Internet Explorer but couldn't stand other computer browsers now have an alternative!

Great, it was released, and along with a new Beta, great news!
Keep it up Kerm

Hooray! A calc browser!
You should post here, Kerm, so I can bump your respect up.
Btw, is 'Gossamer' supposed to be symbolic of anything/mean anything?

Gossamer is an adjective that can be used to describe spider webs, and means light, thin, and ephemeral. Gossamer -> Spider web -> Web -> Internet.

I d0N'7 G3T 7H4T Web -> Internets c0nN3CT10n.
Getting awesomer! I love the UI stuff (links and hovering and such). Numbered links are really nice for a calculator browser.
-
Tried it too, finally. It worked quite well with regular sites like Cemetech and Omni.
-
nice! any plans to port it to the CX/Prizm? :D
-
You would probably need to ask Kerm, although I wouldn't be surprised if it was in his future plans.

Hmm, I wonder if a Youtube player is possible... O.O

I told Brandon Wilson that if he writes me a WiFi driver for the calculator, I would write a YouTube viewer.
:o

O.O That would be incredible. I bet on certain vids the quality would suffer a lot, though X.x
-
Bump :)
Does the calc need to be connected to the computer to use Gossamer?

Yes.

Yep. If you don't want that, you'll need something like an Arduino along with a WiFi adapter, and to program the Arduino to act like a computer running gcnclient.
By the way, gcnclient is included in the latest DoorsCS download.
Edit: ninja'd

WIFI >:D cool ill get an arduino soon

Note that you'll also need to get a WiFi adapter and documentation for it, and program the Arduino yourself, as no such program exists AFAIK. ;D
