Hallucinate with a TI-Nspire CX and Ndless! Well... not really, actually. However progress has been made recently on various TI-Nspire tools, most notably nSDL, a new graphic library for the TI-Nspire. This is an example (by atiatini) of what this graphical library can accomplish so far:
Source code and binaries of that trippy plasma demo effect can be found in this post (http://ourl.ca/14975/295427).
Besides that, the library was updated for fonts and now supports both 8 and 16 bit color depth images. It also features a nice smooth mouse routine (much better than in the TI-OS, according to the author). Much more information can be found in the first post of the topic (http://ourl.ca/14975), but be sure to check out the last few pages for some more screenshots!

That looks really cool. I can't wait until I have time to start experimenting with Nspire and Prizm stuff :o Speaking of the Prizm, any plans for a graphics library on that?
-
That would be cool to have one actually. I wonder if it would be able to achieve stuff like above or if it would be slower, since the LCD driver seemed slower?

O.O Well, that is a pretty nice video...

O.o
Soon we'll be seeing Mafia trading CX?

Very nice! I am feeling dizzy! ;)

That is EPIC!/me wants a cx
And why is it filmed 90° turned?
-
Because Windows Movie Maker would stretch it if rotated, otherwise.

Goodness DJ encouraging students to try and hallucinate again :P
Nice I wisht I had a CX now...

Lol, but at least you save A LOT of money on drugs. O.O (and you remain healthy)

There's great power in these devices...

I hope this program is not addictive... <_<

Well TI could make a lot of money if it was so maybe...

Why won't you use any other movie maker? The windows one is just bad and there is many freeware.

Because the freeware ones are ridiculously hard to use and hard to find (since many shareware ones tricks you into thinking it's free, yet it's not). I downloaded one once that was really free and nothing in it seemed to do anything. Normally I would have used VirtualDub, but my iPod touch produces mov files, which VirtualDub cannot open. Also Movie maker lets me make a much faster job for most other tasks such as the Omni video tributes.

Yeah, I found some free alternatives to WMM, one being ridiculously hard (Cinelerra, like After Effects or something), the other being ridiculously limited (PiTiVi, an over-simplified WMM or something). Kdenlive isn't that bad, but it crashed a lot when I used it IIRC.
-
VirtualDub lets me do a lot of resizing and adding some effects, but the problem is that it only opens a small selection of AVI formats, else it says invalid format/codec (even if the codec is in your VirtualDub compression list).
I also have PowerDVD or something installed, but I noticed it had some annoying limitations when I tried it and it seemed more limited than WMM.

If only the battery didn't die so fast, this would be perfect for a screensaver :) Looking great!

I feel dizzy watching this video  :hyper: *.*

This looks awesome... I kinda feel dizzy... but more amazed!
